Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Matt Lipsky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mauricio Rua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lipsky kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Das Spiel Ist Aust. This should be fireworks!

The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Fedor Mirinova and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rua forces Lipsky back against the cage and clinches.
Rua goes for a takedown in the clinch but Lipsky prevents it.
Lipsky with a knee to the head.
It looks like Mauricio Rua has been cut.
Rua tightens his grip and picks Lipsky up, before dumping him to the ground. Lipsky manages to land in guard.
Rua thows a big elbow that misses.
Lipsky is looking to stand up but Rua isn't so interested in that idea.

Rua throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Lipsky works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Rua stands up over Lipsky, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Rua accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Rua has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Ruais looking to pass into half guard but Lipsky pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Lipsky is in guard.
Lipsky won't allow Rua to get back to his feet.

Rua shoots in but Lipsky avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Rua tries to score a power double leg takedown but Lipsky sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Rua somewhat.

Rua tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Lipsky was well out of range. Poor timing from Rua.

Lipsky throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Lipsky is looking to clinch.

Rua dives in and grabs Lipsky's left leg, looking for a takedown. Lipsky pushes down on Rua's head and hops out.
Rua darts in and clinches Lipsky up against the cage.
Lipsky blocks a body shot from Rua.

Rua tries to score a body lock takedown but Lipsky shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Lipsky pushes off an throws an elbow but Rua leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

Lipsky tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Rua avoids it.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
