Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kurt Uzi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Corpus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Uzi comes to the cage accompanied by Slayer - Angel of Death . John Corpus will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Corpus fails to land with a series of punches.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Uzi is defended easily by Corpus.

It looks like Kurt Uzi has been cut.
Corpus connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Corpus tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Uzi was well out of range. Poor timing from Corpus.
Corpus swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Corpus ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Uzi moves away.
Uzi shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Corpus but Corpus pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Uzi misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Corpus tries to bum rush Uzi with a series of wild strikes but Uzi uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Uzi takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Uzi closes this distance looking for a takedown but Corpus circles away.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

John Corpus is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Uzi walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Corpus misses with a looping left.
Uzi closes the distance and clinches up with Corpus, looking for a takedown. Uzi pushes Corpus against the cage but Corpus circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

and Uzi counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Corpus's guard now.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Corpus is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Corpus is looking to stand up but Uzi isn't so interested in that idea.

Corpus manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Uzi manages to get himself to full guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Corpus accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Corpus throws a strike but Uzi rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

John Corpus has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Horrible takedown by Uzi or perhaps it was just good defense by Corpus which made him look bad.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

No joy there for Corpus, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Corpus lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Corpus stuns Uzi with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Uzi feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Uzi softens up his opponent with a couple of shots there and then CRACK! One massive shot lands there and Corpus is out cold! Uzi jumps to his feet and celebrates on the cage with the fans, who are, quite frankly, going absolutely mental!
