Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 12 - 0, fighting out of London, Gerald Young I!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, James Glass and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ernie with a poor takedown
and Young I counters with a left and a right that stings Ernie.
Young I throws a right hand that Ernie ducks under and follows up with a left that Ernie also avoids with ease.
Ernie gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Young I counters with a right hand to the body.
Ernie tries to score a power double leg takedown but Young I sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Ernie somewhat.

Ernie shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Ernie throws a sloppy head kick and Young I moves out of range easily.

Young I smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

Young I tries to circle away but Ernie has him pinned against the cage.

Young I is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Ernie rather than just go for the knockout.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Young I fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Ernie shoots in but no luck this time.
Young I throws a right and a left that Ernie avoids nicely.
Ernie tries to score a power double leg takedown but Young I sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Ernie somewhat.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Gerald Young I dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Young I looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Ernie shoots in looking for a takedown but Young I manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Ernie's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Ernie steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Young I.
Gerald Young I seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Young I scores with a hook.
Ernie shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Ernie shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Young I defends it nicely.
Young I throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Ernie doesn't succeed with the takedown
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
and Young I counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Young I lands with a big right hook that stumbles Ernie - he's out on his feet here! Young I follows up with another monster hook that separates Ernie from consciousness! Ernie falls, almost in slow motion to the canvas! Young I stands and admires his work as the crowd go wild.
