Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pyyno Janis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ugga Bugga (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Janis comes into the arena with Rubber Johnny blaring out of the sound system. The crowd seem to be enjoying Bugga's choice of entrance music: Execution Style. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Bugga.
Janis goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Janis closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Bugga's guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Bugga can't keep his opponent in guard - Janis advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Janis lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Bugga is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Bugga tries to lock up and control but Janis gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Janis wants to control the pace but Bugga is squirming around nicely.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Bugga wants to control from the top but Janis keeps moving.
Janis working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Bugga has passed into half guard!
Janis has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Bugga is figuring out what he wants to do next.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Janis is trying to get back to full guard.

Janis moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Bugga not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Bugga really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Janis. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Buggais looking to pass into half guard but Janis pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Janis is in guard.

That kick from Janis tenderised Bugga's leg. Bugga is trying to keep his angry face on.

Bugga throws a right hand that Janis ducks under and follows up with a left that Janis also avoids with ease.

Ugga Bugga seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The crowd cheers as Janis lands an impressive looking overhand right. Bugga doesn't seem phased though.
Bugga is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Janis.

The fighters circle momentarily. Janis darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Janis lands a really nice looking cross but Bugga seems unphased.
A looping hook to the body misses from Janis. Bugga does a little dance to reset his feet.
Janis fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Bugga looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Bugga darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Bugga might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Bugga throws a nice looking combination but Janis bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Bugga connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

Bugga scores with a hook to the body. Janis takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Janis walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Bugga moves into the clinch.
Bugga is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Bugga misses with a short punch on the inside.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
Bugga pushes off an throws an elbow but Janis leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

Janis has picked Bugga up - he's going for a ride! Janis dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Janis wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bugga keeps working.

A close second round but Ugga Bugga will probably get the nod - 10:9.

Janis shoots in looking for a takedown. Bugga tries to sprawl out of it but Janis keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Bugga manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

and Janis makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Janis walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Bugga checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Bugga throws a series of punches but Janis avoids them all with ease.

Bugga moves to clinch but Janis breaks away
and Janis counters with a good low kick that Bugga was not able to check.

Bugga lands with a hook. Janis tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Bugga lands a nice shot that snaps Janis's head back.
Bugga wants to clinch up but Janis keeps it at a distance.

Bugga misses with a hook. Janis ducked under it nicely.

Bugga lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
Janis tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Bugga smiles and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Pyyno Janis. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Janis misses with an uppercut. Bugga saw that one coming.
Bugga throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Janis tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

Bugga does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Bugga throws a looping overhand right but Janis ducks down to avoid it.
Bugga lands a right hook to the body.
Janis moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Bugga tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Janis manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Janis misses with a wild body shot.
Janis fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Bugga.

Janis keeps the fight on the outside.
Bugga tries to clinch up but Janis circles away and keeps his distance.
Bugga lands a nice shot to the body.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Janis lands with a nice body kick.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Bugga throws the left hand but Janis avoids the punch easily.
Bugga goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Janis fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Bugga checks it well.
Ugga Bugga is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Janis missing with a left hand there. Bugga was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Janis with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Janis is defended easily by Bugga.

Janis throws a lazy uppercut
and Bugga counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Janis pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Janis throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Janis tries to move into range but Bugga moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Janis keeps the fight on the outside.
Bugga wants to clinch up but Janis keeps it at a distance.
And that's the end of the fight!
Ugga Bugga comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Bugga has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

After the fight, Ugga Bugga was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
