The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lindo shoots in for a takedown but The Kid shows good takedown defense.

The Kid really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The Kid throws a leg kick which misses Lindo's front leg but catches the back leg as Lindo tries to avoid it.
Lindo shoots in for a takedown but The Kid shows good takedown defense.
The Kid lands a nice shot that snaps Lindo's head back.
Kyle The Kid seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lindo on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
A punch lands to the side of Lindo 's head but he takes it in his stride.

The Kid lunges at Lindo with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Lindo's hand.

Lindo closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into The Kid's guard.
Lindo tries to free his leg and advance position but The Kid is retaining full guard.
Lindo is pushing down on The Kid's leg trying to pass to half guard. The Kid is fighting to maintain full guard but Lindo has managed to sneak the leg through.
The Kid regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Lindo.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Lindo throws a strike but The Kid rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Lindo changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. The Kid tries to avoid it but Lindo manages to keep hold of a leg and drag The Kid to the ground. The Kid escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
The Kid bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Lindo's head.
