Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Peter Aerts! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Osvald Kikkas! The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Arvi Lind and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kikkas blocks a head kick by Aerts.
Kikkas closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Aerts to the mat! Aerts manages to get full guard. Kikkas wants to pass the guard but Aerts is keeping the position. Kikkas postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Aerts is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Kikkas, into his guard. Kikkas is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Kikkas is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Aerts is aware though and is defending well. Aerts knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kikkas on the ground. Aerts is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Kikkas is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Aerts is aware though and is defending well. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kikkas escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Aerts gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Kikkas working for a triangle but Aerts defends it easily.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Aerts slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Kikkas looking for a guillotine here but Aerts defends easily.
Aerts might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Kikkas escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Aerts gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Aerts has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Kikkas to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Aerts is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Kikkas pulls down on the head and he's put Aerts to sleep! This one is all over!

A very excited looking Osvald Kikkas made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
