Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Steve Menzies!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Winston Howard and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Menzies misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Thompson.
Thompson avoids the body shot from Menzies.
Thompson has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Thompson there as he acknowledges the shot.
A jab from Thompson finds it's way through Menzies's defenses.
Menzies takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Menzies throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Thompson sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Thompson uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Menzies.
Menzies fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Thompson, pushing him back against the cage.
Menzies misses with a body punch.
Menzies taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
Thompson slowing the pace effectively.
Thompson has Menzies pressed against the cage, preventing Menzies from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Thompson is trying to force a seperation but Menzies has the dominant position.
Menzies is looking to take this one to the mat.
Thompson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Menzies struggles to land a body shot inside as Thompson controls his hands.

Thompson is trying to break the clinch but Menzies is controlling him.
Menzies prevents Thompson from breaking the clinch.
Thompson wants to get back to striking at distance but Menzies won't allow it.

A nice left hand lands by Thompson.
Thompson lands a right hand.
Thompson is working Menzies over against the cage.
Menzies tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Thompson's elbow.

Menzies breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Thompson scores with a shot to the body.
Thompson lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Thompson moves into range and connects with a jab.
Thompson lands with a hook. Menzies tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Thompson dips to his left and cracks Menzies with an uppercut!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Menzies misses with a few strikes there.
Thompson closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Menzies is rocked!
Thompson steps in with a hook that catches Menzies right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Thompson follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Menzies looks absolutely devastated.
