Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Zef Tanghe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nick Vasa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tanghe's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, . Vasa has chosen Highway to Hell(AC/DC) as his entrance music. Nick Vasa is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Zef Tanghe! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Nick Vasa! The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Damien Edna and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tanghe throws a sloppy head kick and Vasa counters by moving into the clinch. Tanghe prevents a takedown attempt there.
Tanghe wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Vasa wants to take the fight to the mat but Tanghe manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Vasa looking to slow down the pace here. Tanghe lands with a light punch inside. Vasa tries for a takedown but Tanghe manages to get underhooks.
Zef Tanghe has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nick Vasa. Tanghe is trying to break the clinch but Vasa has him pressed against the cage. Tanghe gets underhooks to prevent Vasa's takedown attempt.
Vasa wants to take the fight to the mat but Tanghe manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Tanghe blocks a body shot from Vasa. Tanghe breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Vasa tries to score a power double leg takedown but Tanghe sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Vasa somewhat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tanghe moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Tanghe with a body punch. A glancing blow. Vasa wants to clinch up but Tanghe keeps it at a distance. Vasa tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Tanghe swivels and escapes. Tanghe delivers a nice body kick. Vasa dives in and grabs Tanghe's left leg, looking for a takedown. Tanghe pushes down on Vasa's head and hops out. Vasa looks gassed! Vasa on the wrong end of a nice hook. Vasa sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. This has been an exciting period of action! Vasa shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Tanghe sprawls well. Tanghe wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Vasa gets slowly back to his feet. Tanghe circles away from the clinch attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tanghe gets the takedown into side control. Tanghe in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Vasa prevents Tanghe from moving into mount. Tanghe wants to control but Vasa is keeping him busy. Tanghe in side control, throwing shots but Vasa defends. Tanghe controlling the position from side mount. Tanghe postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Vasa seems a little lost for a moment, as Tanghe dominates the positioning.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Vasa is looking for a sweep. A control attempt from Vasa but he's now mounted! BOOM! Tanghe connects with a massive shot to the dome!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Vasa swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing. A nice elbow there by Tanghe. Vasa tries to hold on but Tanghe postures up. Vasa is trying to stand up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tanghe landing strikes, looking to finish! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Tanghe trying to control but Vasa is having none of it. The referee warns Vasa that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Tanghe controlling from the full mount. Tanghe looking to finish Vasa with some ground and pound. This is bad for Vasa! The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Vasa tries to hold on but Tanghe pushes him away. Vasa is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Tanghe controlling the position easily from mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Zef Tanghe dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Tanghe works the jab nicely. Vasa closes the distance and clinches up with Tanghe, looking for a takedown. Vasa pushes Tanghe against the cage but Tanghe circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Tanghe lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Vasa circles away quickly and effectively. Vasa looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Tanghe lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Tanghe. Tanghe looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Vasa is fending him off so far but Tanghe persists. Nope, Vasa circles away and we're back to standing. Vasa fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Zef Tanghe has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nick Vasa. Vasa has his takedown stuffed and Vasa takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Vasa is breathing heavily. Vasa avoids the body shot from Tanghe.
Tanghe throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Nice uppercut lands for Tanghe. That snapped Vasa's head back.
Zef Tanghe is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tanghe fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Tanghe changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Vasa tries to avoid it but Tanghe manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Vasa to the ground. Vasa escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Vasa tries to clinch up. Vasa misses with a wild combination.
No luck for Vasa with that takedown attempt. Vasa sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Vasa needs to keep his hands up - Tanghe had a free shot at his head there. Zef Tanghe is winning the standup battle so far. Tanghe pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Vasa throws a series of punches but Tanghe moves out of range. Tanghe circles away from the clinch attempt.
Tanghe thows a body kick. Vasa tries to catch it but that hurt him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Tanghe misses with a wild combination.
Vasa takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. Tanghe gets a double leg takedown into Vasa's guard. Zef Tanghe overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Tanghe scoring with some ground and pound. Tanghe controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Vasa wants to sweep here but Tanghe controlling him for the moment. Tanghe wants to control from the top but Vasa keeps moving.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tanghe trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Tanghe slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Vasa looking for a guillotine here but Tanghe defends easily.
Vasa is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Tanghe is aware though and is defending well. Vasa wants to control the position but Tanghe says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Vasa has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Tanghe is working away from the top position though. Tanghe controlling the action here. Nice strikes from Tanghe there. Tanghe winds up and cracks Vasa with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Tanghe is pressing down on Vasa's thigh, looking to free his foot. Vasa is holding on for now. Vasa is in trouble now - Tanghe has advanced to mount! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Tanghe wants to control the pace but Vasa is squirming around nicely. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Zef Tanghe dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Tanghe slaps away a takedown attempt from Vasa, before circling back to the center of the mat. Vasa walks into a straight right hand from Tanghe. Vasa fails with a takedown attempt. Vasa changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Tanghe tries to avoid it but Vasa manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Tanghe to the ground. Tanghe escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Zef Tanghe has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nick Vasa. Vasa fails in his attempt to clinch. Vasa is trying desperately to land a takedown but Tanghe is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Vasa. Tanghe connects with a body shot. Tanghe feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Tanghe slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Tanghe has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Vasa takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vasa has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Tanghe can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Vasa keeping full guard, as Tanghe tries to pass. Tanghe stands and throws Vasa's legs to the side, diving into side control. Vasa takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. A lull in the action here as Tanghe stalls from top position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tanghe advances nicely into full mount. Vasa tries to hold on but Tanghe pushes him away. Tanghe landing strikes, looking to finish! Tanghe scores with a couple of good head shots there.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Vasa tries to hold on but Tanghe postures up. The referee warns Vasa that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Vasa is rocked! Vasa is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tanghe takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Tanghe connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Vasa is still in real trouble! Can Tanghe finish him? Tanghe controlling the position easily from mount. Vasa tries to lock up and control but Tanghe gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Tanghe controlling from the full mount. Tanghe's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Vasa seems to have recovered his senses.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Zef Tanghe. Tanghe throws a series of punches but Vasa avoids them all with ease.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Tanghe lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Vasa at a distance.
Tanghe throws a right hand that Vasa ducks under and follows up with a left that Vasa also avoids with ease. Vasa tries to clinch up but Tanghe circles away and keeps his distance. Tanghe drops Vasa with a beautiful combination! Vasa stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Tanghe is looking for the KO! Tanghe cracks Vasa with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Tanghe lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Tanghe lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Vasa can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Tanghe and Vasa drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Tanghe.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:37 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Zef Tanghe! Zef Tanghe gave a mention to MMA ANIMAL in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
