Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jonah Rowlah (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Scope (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Scope has chosen Marry the Canvas! as his entrance music. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jonah Rowlah! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Michael Scope! The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Winston Howard and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rowlah misses with the combination.
Scope shoots in looking for a takedown but Rowlah manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Scope's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Rowlah throws an overhand right that lands on Scope's shoulder, as Scope tries to avoid the shot. Rowlah lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Scope at a distance.
Rowlah shoots in and drives through. Scope sprawls well. Scope fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Rowlah manages to avoid it. Rowlah takes a swing at Scope's ribcage but misses. Horrible takedown by Scope or perhaps it was just good defense by Rowlah which made him look bad. Scope dives in and grabs Rowlah's left leg, looking for a takedown. Rowlah pushes down on Scope's head and hops out. Jonah Rowlah has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Michael Scope. Scope shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Rowlah shoots in looking for a takedown but Scope manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Rowlah's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Scope drives through with a takedown into guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Scope is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Rowlah is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Rowlah has escaped and now he's on top! Rowlah avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Scope working for a triangle but Rowlah defends it easily.
Scope wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Scope is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Rowlah pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Scope is keeping the position for now. Rowlah will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Scope preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rowlah pushes down on Scope's leg and manages to get into half guard. Rowlah looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Rowlah wants to control but Scope is keeping him busy. Rowlah passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Scope! The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Scope is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rowlah looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Scope tries to get back to half guard but can't. Rowlah controlling his opponent. Rowlah sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Rowlah wants to control the pace but Scope is squirming around nicely. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Scope is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Jonah Rowlah dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Rowlah throws a right hand that Scope ducks under and follows up with a left that Scope also avoids with ease. Rowlah stuffs the takedown. Scope closes the distance and clinches up with Rowlah, looking for a takedown. Scope pushes Rowlah against the cage but Rowlah circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Rowlah throws a nice looking combination but Scope bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Scope fails to land the takedown. Jonah Rowlah has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Michael Scope. Rowlah misses with a takedown attempt - Scope sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Scope looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Rowlah! Scope wants to control the pace but Rowlah is squirming around nicely. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Scope avoids the attempt from Rowlah to control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Scope throwing shots from mount but they're not landing. Scope trying to control but he's not successful this time. Rowlah holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Scope tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Rowlah keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Michael Scope has got the better of the ground game so far. Scope misses with a head shot. Scope goes for an armbar but Rowlah turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Rowlah. Rowlah has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Scope looking for a guillotine here but Rowlah defends easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rowlah stopping the sweep attempt from Scope. Scope keeping moving, preventing Rowlah from controlling successfully.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Scope not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Rowlah postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Rowlah loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Scope pushes Rowlah off and scrambles back to his feet.
Rowlah cracks a nice hook into Scope's ribs. Scope fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Rowlah avoids it really well and circles away. Scope fails with the takedown.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Scope tries to score a power double leg takedown but Rowlah sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Scope somewhat. Scope uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Rowlah.

and Rowlah counters with a nice uppercut. Scope shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Scope showed some decent athleticism there. Rowlah avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Scope. This has been an exciting period of action! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Rowlah tries to roll over but Scope keeps him under control. Scope is working for a kimura but Rowlah is defending it quite comfortably.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Michael Scope showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
No luck for Rowlah with that takedown attempt. Rowlah takes a swing at Scope's ribcage but misses. A jab from Scope does it's job there. A looping hook to the body misses from Rowlah. Scope does a little dance to reset his feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Scope shoots in but no luck this time. Rowlah keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Scope dodges the punch combination from Rowlah.
Scope shoots for a double leg takedown but Rowlah sprawls well. He's pushed Scope's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rowlah shoots in but Scope avoids the takedown attempt easily. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Rowlah. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jonah Rowlah. That's going to take a lot out of him. Rowlah shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Scope makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Scope. Rowlah got a little sloppy there for a moment and Scope has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Rowlah has managed to get both his arms back between Scope's legs - danger averted.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rowlah passes Scope's left leg - he's now in half guard. Rowlah moves nicely into side control. Scope prevents Rowlah from improving position. Rowlah wants to control but Scope is keeping him busy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Scope gets back to half guard. Scope is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Rowlah's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Rowlah's back! Rowlah showing good submission defense here.
Scope is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Rowlah is defending well though. Scope let's go of the attempt for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rowlah preventing the rear naked choke attempt from Scope. Rowlah tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Scope landing punches. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Scope prevents Rowlah from getting the reversal. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Rowlah manages to regain half guard. Good work. Rowlah wants to get back to full guard but Scope has passed into side control.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Michael Scope. I think Scope has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
