Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Miroshima Akiyomo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Henry Blood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Miroshima Akiyomo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Henry Blood ! The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Taro Takaoka and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Blood closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Blood lands in his opponent's guard. Blood slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Blood pushes down on Akiyomo's leg and manages to get into half guard. Akiyomo has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, Blood escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by Blood ! Blood decides to take the fight back to the feet. Akiyomo with a lazy takedown attempt and Blood counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Akiyomo! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Blood manages to capitalize on a mistake by Akiyomo to take his back! Blood is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish. Blood lands strikes to the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Blood trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Akiyomo doesn't escape. Akiyomo tries to escape but Blood has the hooks in and won't let him break free. Blood keeps control of the position easily here as Akiyomo tries to buck him off.
Blood lands with a hammerfist to the side of Akiyomo's head. Akiyomo defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Blood 's arms. Akiyomo really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Blood has his opponent trapped and is landing shots. Not a good position for Akiyomo. Blood looking for the choke from the back. Blood is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Blood gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Blood gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Blood apologises and we restart here on the feet.
Akiyomo is rocked! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Blood closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Oh Akiyomo is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Blood tries to move to mount but Akiyomo blocks the move with his legs.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Blood decides to stand back up. Blood steps back and let's Akiyomo get back to his feet. Blood instigates a clinch. Akiyomo tries to pull guard but Blood won't allow it.
Akiyomo seems to have got his legs back now. Blood gets control of Akiyomo's arms and successfully pulls guard. Blood will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Akiyomo pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Blood is keeping the position for now. Akiyomo is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Akiyomo is breathing heavily. Blood seems keen to control Akiyomo's posture. Akiyomo drops back, looking for a kneebar! Blood looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Blood looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Blood !
That's three minutes gone in the round. Blood works to advance to full mount. Akiyomo defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Akiyomo is trying to escape the mount.
Blood postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Akiyomo looks a forlorn figure.
Blood with a couple of short strikes. Blood is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Akiyomo can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Akiyomo is desperately trying to improve his position but Blood has a good base and remains in mount. Blood controlling the position easily from mount. Blood lands a big shot there that rocks Akiyomo but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Blood landing strikes from the mount. Blood with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Blood looking to control and managing it successfully. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Blood looking to secure an arm triangle but Akiyomo defends it well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Henry Blood dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Blood rushes Akiyomo and presses him up against the cage. Akiyomo jumps guard but Blood stands there with Akiyomo around his waist. Akiyomo gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Blood breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Akiyomo misses with a takedown attempt and Blood counters with a shoot takedown. Akiyomo fights it but they end up in guard. Akiyomo is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Blood frees his head nicely. Oh but Akiyomo has switched to an armbar! Blood is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
