Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jakub Witczak! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Dillin Tahere! The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Illya Tyunina and Aleksei Zolotukhin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Witczak drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Witczak in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Witczak will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Tahere is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Witczak trying to control but Tahere is working from the bottom. Witczak trying to stand up but can't free himself from Tahere's guard. Tahere pushes Witczak off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Tahere scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Witczak wants to control but Tahere postures up. Witczak is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Tahere is controlling him well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tahere controls the position. Witczak is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Tahere has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Witczak! Witczak tries to hold on but Tahere pushes him away. Witczak is wriggling around trying to escape.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Tahere controlling the position easily from mount. Let's hope that Tahere has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Witczak is looking to improve his position but Tahere isn't that keen on the idea. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Tahere takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Witczak is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Tahere tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Dillin Tahere has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Witczak shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Tahere manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Witczak is breathing heavily. Tahere wriggles free and stands up. Witczak clinches. Tahere should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Witczak prevents a takedown attempt there.
Witczak is trying to break the clinch but Tahere has him pressed against the cage. Witczak stops a takedown attempt from Tahere.
Witczak gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Tahere.
Jakub Witczak has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dillin Tahere. Witczak misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Tahere.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Witczak takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Witczak looking to stall.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Tahere is trying to trip Witczak. He has hold of a leg but Witczak is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Tahere persists though and gets the takedown into guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dillin Tahere dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Tahere drives through with a takedown into guard. Witczak looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Tahere postures up.
Witczak is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Tahere's corner is telling him to maintain position. Witczak wants to sweep here but Tahere controlling him for the moment. Dillin Tahere has got the better of the ground game so far. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Tahere trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tahere's corner is telling him to maintain position. Witczak isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Tahere stacks Witczak on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Tahere! The referee asks Tahere politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Tahere prefers to stall for the moment though. Tahere advances to full mount. Tahere controlling from mount. Tahere's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Witczak can't escape the position.
Tahere takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Dillin Tahere hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Witczak shoots in for a takedown but Tahere shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tahere shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Witczak's guard. Tahere not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Tahere tries to free his leg and advance position but Witczak is retaining full guard. Tahere is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Witczak wants to get back to his feet but Tahere is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Dillin Tahere. Tahere dodges the punch combination from Witczak.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tahere shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Witczak as he avoids it easily. Tahere fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Witczak avoids it really well and circles away. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Witczak lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Tahere has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Tahere and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Tahere tries to score a power double leg takedown but Witczak sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Tahere somewhat. Jakub Witczak has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dillin Tahere. Tahere closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Tahere lands in his opponent's guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Witczak wants to stand but Tahere is controlling the position. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Tahere sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Witczak's guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dillin Tahere showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Tahere misses with a takedown attempt - Witczak sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Tahere looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Witczak tries to kick Tahere off but Tahere keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Witczak wants to get back to full guard but Tahere has passed into side control. You can see the frustration on Witczak's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Tahere controls the position from side control. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Witczak tries to buck Tahere off but Tahere is having none of it. Tahere taking a breather here.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Dillin Tahere wasn't active enough on the ground. Tahere fails with the takedown. We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Tahere has eaten all the pies! Tahere takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Tahere gets a double leg takedown into Witczak's guard. Witczak wants to stand and escape but Tahere is having none of it. Witczak looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tahere seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Witczak wants to stand up but Tahere is controlling him. Witczak working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Tahere has passed into half guard!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Tahere prevents Witczak from standing back up.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that's the end of the fight! Dillin Tahere comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Tahere winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
