Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jarred Rose!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tim Zeenie!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Franklyn Lucas and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zeenie tries to sprawl but Rose drives through with a takedown into half guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Zeenie has a hand on Rose's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Rose takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
Rose lands a nice shot to the head.
Zeenie really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rose. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Zeenie is squirming around, avoiding Rose's attempts to control the action.
Rose throwing strikes here but Zeenie is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Zeenie wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
Rose lands a heavy elbow.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Rose working for a submission but Zeenie is keeping him at bay.
Rose can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Zeenie is looking to escape.
Zeenie tries to improve his position but instead Rose has taken his back!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Rose is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but Zeenie won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips Rose off his unconscious opponent!
