The bell rings for round one and we are underway! KillsInWater Jr fails with the takedown. A good leg kick by Ritzik. KillsInWater Jr shoots in looking for a takedown. Ritzik tries to sprawl out of it but KillsInWater Jr keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Ritzik manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Ritzik keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Ritzik keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. MSgt. Rupert Ritzik has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bubba KillsInWater Jr. KillsInWater Jr throws a jab but it's blocked by Ritzik. No joy there for Ritzik, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Ritzik throws a lazy right hand but KillsInWater Jr sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. KillsInWater Jr throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Ritzik tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. KillsInWater Jr is in Ritzik's guard. Ritzik might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. KillsInWater Jr pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Ritzik is keeping the position for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. KillsInWater Jr postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Ritzik utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Ritzik preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. KillsInWater Jr throwing strikes from guard but Ritzik blocks nicely. Ritzik controlling the position. Ritzik is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Ritzik wants to sweep but no luck. KillsInWater Jr landing some decent shots from guard. Ritzik looking for a sweep. Not yet Ritzik, not yet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. KillsInWater Jr sitting in guard here, content to control. KillsInWater Jr throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Ritzik keeping moving, preventing KillsInWater Jr from controlling successfully. Ritzik is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. KillsInWater Jr advances to half guard. Ritzik keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ritzik avoiding damage under a succession of punches from KillsInWater Jr. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. KillsInWater Jr missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. KillsInWater Jr working over Ritzik with some ground and pound. Ritzik looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
It looks like MSgt. Rupert Ritzik has been cut. Ritzik gets back to full guard.
Ritzik preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. KillsInWater Jr in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. KillsInWater Jr lands a couple of digs. KillsInWater Jr throws a big elbow that misses. KillsInWater Jr throwing strikes but missing. KillsInWater Jr landing with the ground and pound. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! KillsInWater Jr stands and throws Ritzik's legs to the side, diving into side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Ritzik's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ritzik is positioning himself to get back to half guard. An elbow from KillsInWater Jr crashes against the mat.
KillsInWater Jr throwing strikes but Ritzik manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. KillsInWater Jr is looking for a sweep. KillsInWater Jr struggling a bit here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bubba KillsInWater Jr dominated that round. The cut man is working on MSgt. Rupert Ritzik's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
KillsInWater Jr changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Ritzik looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. KillsInWater Jr wants to lay and pray for a moment but Ritzik keeps working. KillsInWater Jr throws an elbow but Ritzik slips to the side and avoids it well. KillsInWater Jr misses with the ground and pound. Ritzik regains half guard, as KillsInWater Jr was trying to land strikes. Ritzik is controlling KillsInWater Jr's trapped leg to prevent KillsInWater Jr from advancing to side control. KillsInWater Jr is looking to stall here but Ritzik recovers full guard. Ritzik on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Ritzik tries to get out of the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. KillsInWater Jr looking to sit in guard and control but Ritzik gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. KillsInWater Jr keeping moving, preventing Ritzik from controlling successfully. Ritzik has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Ritzik stands and steps away. KillsInWater Jr gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. KillsInWater Jr shoots for a takedown but Ritzik saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Ritzik chopping away at his opponent's legs.
KillsInWater Jr takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Ritzik throws a quick inside leg kick. Ritzik cracks KillsInWater Jr with a good jab. KillsInWater Jr on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. KillsInWater Jr is breathing heavily. KillsInWater Jr takes a jab right on the kisser.

Ritzik cracks KillsInWater Jr with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ritzik tests KillsInWater Jr's chin there with a solid looking shot. Ritzik throws a good cross that connects.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Ritzik scoring well with a low kick there.
A nice inside leg kick there by Ritzik. That's going to slow KillsInWater Jr down. Ritzik drops KillsInWater Jr with a straight right hand, right on the button! Ritzik follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
