Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bobby Carthew (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexander Zebra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carthew comes into the arena with Straight out of Compton blaring out of the sound system. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bobby Carthew! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Alexander Zebra! The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Paulsen Ambrosius and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Carthew checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Zebra changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Carthew tries to avoid it but Zebra manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Carthew to the ground. Carthew escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Zebra wants to land a leg kick but Carthew is out of range. Zebra changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Carthew looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Zebra is working Carthew over with some ground and pound from side control.
It looks like Bobby Carthew has been cut. Zebra tries to stand but Carthew is controlling his head. Zebra wants to lay and pray for a moment but Carthew keeps working. Zebra tries to move to mount but Carthew blocks the move with his legs.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carthew is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Zebra tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. Zebra trying to control the position but Carthew is working away. Zebra misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Zebra tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Zebra is trying to ground and pound but Carthew uses the momentary lack of control by Zebra to regain half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Carthew is positioning himself well to prevent Zebra advancing to mount. Carthew is looking for a sweep. Zebra is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Carthew is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Zebra jumps into side control! Zebra tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Carthew tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Zebra wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Carthew keeps Zebra under control for a moment. You can see the frustration on Carthew's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Carthew is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Carthew struggling a bit here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Zebra wants to stand but Carthew is controlling his arm. Carthew stops Zebra from passing to mount. Zebra working away. Carthew is not content to let Zebra control the position. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Carthew is looking for a sweep. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Alexander Zebra dominated that round. The cut man is working on Bobby Carthew's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Zebra tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Zebra gets tackled into the cage by Carthew. Carthew maintains the clinch. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Carthew takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Carthew works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Carthew engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Zebra trying to keep a closed guard but Carthew is proving a slippery customer.
Carthew avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Carthew postures up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Zebra keeping moving, preventing Carthew from controlling successfully. Carthew postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Carthew is stalling in the full guard. Zebra avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Carthew trying to control but Zebra is working from the bottom. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Carthew with a flurry of punches that miss. Zebra is trying to keep Carthew in close.
Zebra wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Carthew is now in half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Carthew uses his free foot to push down on Zebra's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Zebra. Zebra can't escape the position.
Zebra is trying to stand up. Carthew moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Zebra has worked his arm free - good work by Zebra!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Carthew prevents Zebra from escaping the position. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Carthew lands an elbow.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Carthew landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Carthew is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Carthew throws an elbow but Zebra slips to the side and avoids it well. Zebra is looking to reverse the position. Carthew is looking to take a break and control but Zebra is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Carthew cracks Zebra with an elbow. That is naaassty.
It looks like Alexander Zebra has been cut.
That's four minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Zebra wants to control but Carthew postures up. Zebra is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Carthew is one step ahead and moves to full mount! Zebra is trying to escape the mount.
Carthew lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Zebra hang on?
That has opened up Alexander Zebra's cut even more. Carthew postures up and throws a massive shot that knocks Zebra out cold! Two more strikes to his unconscious opponent for good luck and this one is all over! Carthew goes absolutely crazy with his corner! Wow, you can see how much that win means to him!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Bobby Carthew! Bobby Carthew decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
