Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Hunyadi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 19 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mountain Rivera!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Daniel Franklin and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rivera darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Rivera prevents Hunyadi from improving his position.
Rivera thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Hunyadi's head.
Rivera throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Rivera thows a huge punch but Hunyadi dodges it nicely.
Rivera stalling.
Hunyadi tries to roll over but Rivera keeps him under control.

Rivera content to control rather than advance.
Hunyadi avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Rivera.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rivera passes to side control.
Rivera wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hunyadi keeps working.

It looks like John Hunyadi has been cut.
Rivera working the body and head with strikes.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hunyadi manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Rivera stalling away here and it's allowed Hunyadi to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
Hunyadi can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Rivera controls the pace.
Hunyadi keeping moving, preventing Rivera from controlling successfully.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rivera wants to control from the top but Hunyadi keeps moving.
Rivera controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Mountain Rivera hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Hunyadi fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Rivera tries for a takedown but Hunyadi sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Rivera doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Hunyadi counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Rivera fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Hunyadi avoids it really well and circles away.
John Hunyadi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mountain Rivera.
Hunyadi scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Hunyadi stuffs the takedown attempt from Rivera. Rivera gets slowly back to his feet.

Hunyadi rushes Rivera and presses him up against the cage.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Hunyadi can't find room to land a body shot as Rivera controls the action.
A short uppercut from Hunyadi.
Hunyadi working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Hunyadi scores with an uppercut up the middle.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mountain Rivera dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
That's time! Hunyadi's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Hunyadi scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Hunyadi tries to clinch up but Rivera circles away and keeps his distance.
Hunyadi throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Rivera on the side of the head.
Hunyadi really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Horrible takedown by Rivera or perhaps it was just good defense by Hunyadi which made him look bad.
A right-left combo lands from Hunyadi.
Rivera shoots in for a takedown but Hunyadi shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
No luck for Rivera with that takedown attempt.
John Hunyadi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mountain Rivera.
Rivera closes this distance looking for a takedown but Hunyadi circles away.
Rivera shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Hunyadi pinned against the cage. Hunyadi gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Rivera throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Hunyadi's waist but Hunyadi gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Rivera off to one side.
John Hunyadi is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Rivera is breathing heavily.

Hunyadi lands a glancing blow to the side of Rivera's head.
Rivera fails with the takedown.
Rivera's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Hunyadi connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Rivera scrambles back to his feet.
Rivera closes this distance looking for a takedown but Hunyadi circles away.

Rivera gets a clinch.
Hunyadi lands a shoulder strike.
Hunyadi gets through Rivera's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Hunyadi.
Rivera has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Hunyadi avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

A short right from Hunyadi on the inside.
Rivera tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Hunyadi smiles and moves away.
Hunyadi is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Hunyadi thuds a left hand into Rivera's body.
Mountain Rivera seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Hunyadi moves into the clinch.
A left hand lands to the body for Hunyadi.
Rivera's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

A short body shot lands from Hunyadi as the two fighters clinch.
Rivera is still on wobbly legs! Can Hunyadi finish him?
Hunyadi works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Hunyadi throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Riveras head.

Hunyadi creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Rivera with a big uppercut! Rivera tries to clinch up but Hunyadi pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Rivera to the mat! Rivera covers up and Hunyadi unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:19 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). John Hunyadi!
