Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Peter Sobotta !
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Trevor Gratis and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Norreis defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Sobotta .

Norreis fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Sobotta to the ground. Norreis is now in Sobotta 's guard.
Sobotta wants to stand but Norreis is controlling the position.

Norreis gets to his feet. Sobotta looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Norreis shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Sobotta 's guard.
Sobotta wants to stand and escape but Norreis is having none of it.

Norreis stands up from Sobotta 's guard - Norreis perhaps looking for a knockout.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Sobotta takes a head kick and keeps coming.


It looks like Peter Sobotta has been cut.
Sobotta fails to land the takedown.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Sobotta enables Norreis to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Sobotta manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Sobotta wants to stand up but Norreis is controlling him.
Norreis has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Sobotta is proving hard to escape from.
Norreis knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sobotta on the ground.

Norreis gets to his feet - Sobotta follows without any prompting.

Norreis drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Norreis is breathing heavily.

Norreis decides to stand up, so the ref orders Sobotta to his feet.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Sobotta .
Chuck Norreis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Peter Sobotta .

Norreis drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Norreis wanted to stand there but Sobotta had control of the position.

Sobotta is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Norreis creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.

Sobotta gets through Norreis's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Norreis misses with a hook to the ribs.
Sobotta is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Norreis gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Sobotta goes for a takedown in the clinch but Norreis prevents it.

Norreis's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Norreis is defended easily by Sobotta .

Sobotta bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Sobotta has hold of Norreis's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Norreis seems comfortable defending it but Sobotta has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Norreis is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Norreis is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Sobotta couldn't care less - he's delighted!
