The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Elias rushes Hari and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Hari misses with a body punch.
Elias with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Hari can't find room to land a body shot as Elias controls the action.
Elias misses with a knee strike.
Hari tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Elias just stands there and leans against the cage.
Elias lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Hari jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Elias walks away with a smile on his face. Hari gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Hari wants to clinch
and Elias counters by clinching up.
Elias misses with a knee to the head.
Hari tries to pull guard but Elias won't allow it.
Ariel Elias has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Angel Hari.

Hari wants to take the fight to the mat but Elias manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Hari drops down looking for an ankle pick but Elias pulls his leg out and moves away.

Elias is pressed up against the cage. Hari has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Elias down to the mat. Elias avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Hari shoots in looking for a takedown. Elias tries to sprawl out of it but Hari keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Elias manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

and Elias counters by moving into the clinch.

Elias will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Hari got a little sloppy there for a moment and Elias has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Hari has managed to get both his arms back between Elias's legs - danger averted.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Ariel Elias.
Well Elias has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
