Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eddie Colon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Walter Bond (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Walter Bond!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bond gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Colon is trying to maintain a safe position but Bond gets an underhook and turns Colon into the cage.
Bond pushes Colon back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.

Colon tries to break the clinch but Bond is controlling the position.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Colon rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Bond moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Bond must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Bond is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Colon has his foot on Bond's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Bond works his way back into a safe position though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Colon wants to stand and escape but Bond is having none of it.

Bond got a little sloppy there for a moment and Colon has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Bond has managed to get both his arms back between Colon's legs - danger averted.

Colon has an active guard here but Bond has managed to pass into half guard.
Bond is pressing down on Colon's thigh, looking to free his foot. Colon is holding on for now.

Bond decides to stand up.
Walter Bond seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Colon shoots in looking for a takedown but Bond manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Colon's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Colon tries to circle away but Bond has him pinned against the cage.

Bond utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body.
Bond scores a nice knee to the body.
Colon is breathing heavily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Bond crunches a lovely knee into Colon's ribcage.

Bond is trying to trip Colon. He has hold of a leg but Colon is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Bond persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Bond is looking to work some ground and pound but Colon has wrist control.
Bond slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Colon manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Bond has one foot on Colon's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.

Bond keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Bond closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Colon's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bond has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Colon regains guard immediately.
Bond slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Colon working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bond doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bond manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Colon manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Bond manages to get himself to full guard.

Bond pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Colon throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Colon shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Bond as he avoids it easily.

Bond closes the distance and pushes Colon back into the cage.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Colon misses with a punch to the body.
Bond lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Bond pushes Colon back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

Bond lands a nice knee to the body.
Bond dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage.
Bond digs a right hand into Colon's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Colon's gas tank.
Bond is pushing Colon up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Well Bond has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
