Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jake Shields!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Potts tries to clinch but Shields moves away
and Shields counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Potts is trying to stand back up but Shields is controlling him
Shields working the head and body with strikes.
Shields is working for a kimura but Potts is defending it quite comfortably.
Potts really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Potts is not content to let Shields control the position.

Shields is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Shields working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Potts's head.

Shields is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Potts looks calm but he's in trouble here. Shields gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Potts is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Shields lets go of the hold and Potts can pop his arm back in it's socket.
