Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Peter Venkman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Colt Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Colt Williams will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Peter Venkman! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Colt Williams! The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Skip Squint and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fight stays on the outside here - Williams looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Venkman changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Williams looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Venkman wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Williams, who protects the arm well. Williams tries to bench press Venkman off him but Venkman keeps the position. Williams tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Venkman presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount! Williams tries to get back to half guard but can't. Williams bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Williams is looking to work some ground and pound but Venkman has wrist control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Williams pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Venkman is keeping the position for now. Venkman has his foot on Williams's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Williams works his way back into a safe position though. Venkman is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Venkman is breathing heavily. Williams is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Venkman is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Venkman has escaped and now he's on top! Williams manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Venkman manages to get himself to full guard.
Williams postures up in Venkman's guard and throws a big left but Venkman blocks it. Williams has gone for a leg lock! Venkman slips out almost immediately though and dives into Williams's guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Williams is looking for a triangle here but Venkman uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Venkman is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Williams is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Williams is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Williams slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Williams is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Venkman has gone for a leg lock! Venkman strikes from his own guard. Williams stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Venkman swivels though and keeps the full guard. Williams must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Venkman escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Williams gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Venkman is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Williams frees his head nicely. Oh but Venkman has switched to an armbar! Williams is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
