Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Alex Trager (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Christopher Lytle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Trager's entrance music is Scarcéus - Não Quero Olhar Pra Trás. A fine choice. Lytle has chosen Light's Out as his entrance music. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Christopher Lytle was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Alex Trager! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
15 - 13 - 0, fighting out of New York, Christopher Lytle! The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Columbo Gatti and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Trager throws a looping overhand right but Lytle ducks down to avoid it. Lytle fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Lytle throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Lytle clinches. Lytle can't get the takedown.
Lytle throws a head punch that misses. Lytle turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Lytle manages to end up in side control. Lytle tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Trager tries to buck Lytle off but Lytle is having none of it. Trager regains half guard there - taking advantage of Lytle's attempt to lay and pray for a moment. Lytle is trying to work for a kimura but Trager is defending well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Trager is looking to control Lytle's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Trager avoid being mounted? Lytle wants to control but Trager is keeping him busy. Lytle is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Trager is just riding it out for now. Lytle eventually gives up the hold. Trager has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Lytle is working away from the top position though.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lytle tries to pass to full mount but Trager defends it.

Lytle swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Trager is now in Lytle's guard. A big mistake from Lytle there, giving up the dominant position! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Christopher Lytle dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Trager throws a leg kick but Lytle sees it coming and moves out of range. Lytle misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Lytle doesn't succeed with the takedown and Trager counters with a left to the body. Lytle moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Lytle misses with a takedown attempt and Trager counters with a slapping leg kick. Alex Trager has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Christopher Lytle. Trager gets a double leg takedown into Lytle's guard. Trager avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Trager got a little sloppy there for a moment and Lytle has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Trager has managed to get both his arms back between Lytle's legs - danger averted. Trager avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Trager working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Lytle looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Trager stays in close to Lytle's body and controls the position. Trager wants to control from the top but Lytle keeps moving. Lytle has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Trager is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Lytle. Trager scoring with punches and elbows. Trager is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Lytle will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lytle is not content to let Trager control the position. Trager is really struggling to control Lytle but he's trying to hold on to the position. Lytle is looking for a sweep. You can see the frustration on Lytle's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Trager controls the position. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Lytle tries to buck Trager off but Trager is having none of it. Lytle manages to get back to half guard. Trager lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Trager is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Lytle looking for submissions off his back. Christopher Lytle has got the better of the ground game so far. Lytle looking for submissions off his back. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Trager lands a nice short elbow. Lytle is looking to improve his position.
Trager is stalling here. Lytle is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Trager seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Lytle has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Lytle tries to advance to mount but Trager denies him. Lytle thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lytle prevents Trager from escaping the position. Lytle working the body and head with strikes. Lytle tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Lytle looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Trager is avoiding damage well.
Lytle tries for a kimura but Trager is defending well. Lytle has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Trager is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Lytle yanks on the arm and Trager is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Lytle.
