These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Walter Schulze!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schulze connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Schulze shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Samuelson but Samuelson pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Samuelson drives through with a takedown into guard.
Schulze is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Schulze throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Schulze keeping moving, preventing Samuelson from controlling successfully.

Samuelson is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Samuelson drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Samuelson jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Samuelson is trying to control the action in half guard but Schulze is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Schulze fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Samuelson.
Samuelson avoids a punch combination nicely.
Schulze misses with a wild combination.
Schulze throws a right hand that Samuelson ducks under and follows up with a left that Samuelson also avoids with ease.
Samuelson bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Samuelson closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Samuelson lands in his opponent's guard.
Schulze looks gassed!
Schulze wants to stand and escape but Samuelson is having none of it.
Samuelson slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Samuelson is looking to take a break and control but Schulze is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Samuelson is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Schulze is trying to escape and Samuelson transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Schulze is forced to tap! Nice work there by Samuelson! Very nice indeed!
