0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ell Krost! The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Sergei Dronov and Igor Prikhodko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dolvich avoids the body shot from Krost.
Dolvich slips a straight right by Krost. Dolvich checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Nice uppercut there from Dolvich. Dolvich shoots in and gets a takedown into Krost's guard. Dolvich wants to control from the top but Krost keeps moving. Krost wants to get back to his feet but Dolvich is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Krost is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dolvich sitting in guard, not really doing much. Dolvich wants to pass the guard but Krost is keeping the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Ivan Dolvich wasn't doing enough on the ground. Dolvich lands a nice hook to Krost's body. Krost takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Dolvich changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Krost tries to avoid it but Dolvich manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Krost to the ground. Krost escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Dolvich shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Krost napping and manages to drive through into side control! Krost is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Dolvich asserts his dominance and retains side control. Dolvich trying to control the action but Krost is working from the bottom. Dolvich landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.
It looks like Ell Krost has been cut.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Krost pushes Dolvich away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Dolvich gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Dolvich looks up at the clock and then as Krost takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Dolvich smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Krost looks gassed! Dolvich trying to control the position but Krost is working away. Check out the look on Dolvich's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!

That has opened up Ell Krost's cut even more. Dolvich wants to clinch. It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Dolvich here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man. Dolvich goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Dolvich shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Krost's guard. Krost is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Dolvich is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
The cut above Ell Krost's eye is starting to cause him problems now. Krost is breathing heavily. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Krost is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Ivan Dolvich overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Dolvich cracks Krost with a solid left hand. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Dolvich is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Krost is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Dolvich is controlling the pace.
And that's the end of the fight! Ivan Dolvich showed his dominance in that final round. Well Dolvich has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
