Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Omar Little (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and talmel ramirez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). talmel ramirez struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 157.1lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Little stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
It looks like talmel ramirez has been cut. ramirez shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Little throws a wild combination but nothing lands. ramirez shoots for a takedown but Little saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Little takes the fight into the clinch. Little gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Little tries to free his leg and advance position but ramirez is retaining full guard. Little slips nicely into half guard. ramirez trying to control from the bottom.
ramirez is defending against the submission attempts here by Little.
Little stands up out of the half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. ramirez rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Little moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Omar Little seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. ramirez drops his hands momentarily and Little takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
ramirez is rocked! ramirez looks gassed! Little scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Little is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. ramirez is still on wobbly legs! Can Little finish him? Little moves into the clinch. Little lands a takedown into guard.
Little sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed ramirez's guard. Little is looking for a kimura but ramirez is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Little to get the leverage. This has been an exciting period of action! Little is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. ramirez doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Little. Little performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Little is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. ramirez seems to have recovered his senses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Little tries to pass to full mount but ramirez defends it. ramirez is staying active underneath Little, who seems content to just control the action from this position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Little has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can ramirez defend it? Little steps over the head and cranks it - ramirez is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Little!
