Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Petr Briza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sheik Mustafa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mustafa has chosen Stupify as his entrance music. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Petr Briza! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Sheik Mustafa! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fight moves into the clinch position. Mustafa swings wildly with an uppercut but Briza uses good head movement to avoid it. Briza blocking some punches.
Briza drags the fight down to the ground.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Mustafa avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Briza is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Mustafa won't allow Briza to sweep him here. Mustafa wants to stand and escape but instead Briza has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Briza controls from within his opponent's guard. Briza has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Briza advances position into side control! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Briza stands up and we're back to a striking position. Briza fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Briza darts in and clinches Mustafa up against the cage. Briza lands with a short shot to the head. A head punch on the inside from Mustafa fails to land. Mustafa looks gassed! Mustafa tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Mustafa has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Briza jumps guard.
Briza seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Briza might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Briza throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

Briza tries to land a sweep but no joy. Mustafa got a little sloppy there for a moment and Briza has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Mustafa has managed to get both his arms back between Briza's legs - danger averted. Mustafa must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Mustafa wants to stand and escape but instead Briza has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Briza thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Briza trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Briza seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Briza stops Mustafa from standing up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mustafa preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Briza sitting in guard, not really doing much. Mustafa working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Briza. Briza showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Petr Briza. Briza rushes Mustafa and presses him up against the cage.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Briza is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Mustafa is looking to stand up but Briza won't let him. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Briza moves into the clinch. Briza's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Mustafa tries to clinch and Briza holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Briza displaying some good clinch control by pressing Mustafa up against the cage. Mustafa misses with a short punch on the inside. Mustafa is trying to break free. Mustafa is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Mustafa can't break the clinch.
Briza is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Mustafa gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. A short uppercut from Briza. Mustafa is breathing heavily. Briza blocking some punches.
Briza breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Briza fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Mustafa avoids it really well and circles away. Mustafa fails in his attempt to clinch.

Mustafa will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Briza changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Mustafa tries to avoid it but Briza manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Mustafa to the ground. Mustafa escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Petr Briza. That's going to take a lot out of him. Briza will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Mustafa gets tackled into the cage by Briza. Briza maintains the clinch. Mustafa misses with the head strike.

Briza moves into range and clinches up with Mustafa. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Mustafa doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

Sheik Mustafa is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Briza closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Mustafa stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. Briza breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Briza avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Briza clinches up with Mustafa and pushes him back against the cage. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Briza breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

That's three minutes gone in the round. The fight stays on the outside here - Mustafa looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Briza moves into the clinch. Briza changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Mustafa fights it off and pushes away nicely.

and Mustafa counters with a two punch combo. Briza swats away the attempt to clinch by Mustafa. Sheik Mustafa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nice takedown defense from Mustafa. No joy for Briza on that attempt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Briza looks for a takedown but Mustafa sprawls well. Mustafa lands with an uppercut that bounces Briza off the cage and back into range. Briza circles away from the clinch attempt and Briza moves into the clinch. Mustafa swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Briza gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Briza breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Briza throws a sloppy head kick and Mustafa moves out of range easily. Sheik Mustafa has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Petr Briza is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Mustafa misses with a few strikes there.
And that's the end of the fight! Petr Briza showed his dominance in that final round. Well Briza has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
