Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jason Miller! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Carlson Gracie! The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Paulsen Ambrosius and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Miller fails with an attempt to clinch.
Miller drives through and clinches with Gracie against the cage.
Miller drags the fight down to the ground.
Miller preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Miller seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Miller has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Gracie can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Gracie in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Miller working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Gracie. Gracie postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Miller is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Gracie, into his guard. Gracie seems keen to control Miller's posture.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gracie is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Gracie wants to sweep here but Miller controlling him for the moment. Miller lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Miller stands up from guard. Let's bang!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Miller lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
It looks like Carlson Gracie has been cut. Miller misses with a double jab.
Gracie closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Miller to the mat! Miller manages to get full guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Gracie wants to stand but Miller is controlling his posture from full guard. Gracie scoring with some ground and pound. Gracie postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Miller is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Gracie, into his guard. Gracie looking to hit a scissor sweep but Miller is one step ahead there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Miller stands up and waves to Gracie to follow him. Miller closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Miller is breathing heavily. Gracie wants to control but Miller is keeping busy and won't allow it. Gracie is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Miller's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Miller's back! Miller is in a bad position with Gracie working for a choke. Miller manages to spin nicely into guard and the danger is over for the moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gracie trying to keep a closed guard but Miller is proving a slippery customer.
Miller has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Gracie is proving hard to escape from. Gracie looking for a guillotine here but Miller defends easily.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Gracie controlling the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jason Miller dominated that round. The cut man is working on Carlson Gracie's cut. That's time! Miller's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Miller clinches up with Gracie and pushes him back against the cage. Gracie is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Gracie is working for takedown but Miller is calmly controlling the position for now. Miller lands a left hand.
Miller throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Gracies head. Miller pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Miller lands a two punch combo.
Miller drives through and clinches with Gracie against the cage.
Gracie wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Miller has him pressed against the cage. Miller manages to break the clinch.
Jason Miller seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Miller closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Gracie did well to prevent Miller getting side control. Gracie is breathing heavily. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Miller takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Miller is trying to work for a kimura but Gracie is defending well.
Miller wants to lay and pray for a moment but Gracie keeps working. Jason Miller overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Miller slows the pace down in half guard. Gracie trying to control from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Miller sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Gracie defending well though. Miller is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Gracie doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Miller. Gracie trying to control from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gracie blocking the ground and pound attempt from Miller. Gracie is trying to maintain the position but Miller is very close to passing his half guard.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Carlson Gracie. Miller chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Gracie is trying hard to land a takedown here. Miller sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Jason Miller has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Carlson Gracie. Miller throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

Miller scores a takedown into full mount! Miller raining down shots from the mount! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Gracie throws a sloppy head kick and Miller counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Gracie looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Miller moves into the clinch successfully.
Miller gets a trip takedown into half guard. Miller throwing shots but Gracie is blocking nicely. Miller tries to stand but can't do so whilst Gracie controls his leg. Miller content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Miller connects with a nice short shot to Gracie's temple. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gracie has his hands clasped together around Miller's back. He's all about the action. Gracie trying to hold on to Miller's head to control him but Miller postures up.
Gracie gets full guard. Miller stands up over Gracie, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Miller has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Miller wants to get up but he can't break Gracie's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Miller controls from within his opponent's guard. Gracie has a closed guard, preventing Miller from standing up. Gracie wants to sweep here but Miller controlling him for the moment. Gracie working a defensive guard here.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Gracie is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Miller is aware though and is defending well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gracie looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Miller stands up from guard. Let's bang! Miller gets a double leg takedown into Gracie's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Gracie wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Miller decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Gracie dives in and grabs Miller's left leg, looking for a takedown. Miller pushes down on Gracie's head and hops out. Carlson Gracie has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

And that's the end of the fight! Jason Miller showed his dominance in that final round. Well Miller has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
