Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Oleg Blagenov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tsuyoshi Kohsaka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Blagenov comes to the ring accompanied by Kasta-Vorkug Shum. Tsuyoshi Kohsaka has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Oleg Blagenov's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Oleg Blagenov! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Tsuyoshi Kohsaka! The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Sergei Dronov and Fedor Mirinova.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Blagenov will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Blagenov will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Blagenov with a lazy takedown attempt and Kohsaka counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Kohsaka. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Oleg Blagenov. That's going to take a lot out of him. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Blagenov utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Kohsaka is looking to work some ground and pound but Blagenov has wrist control. Blagenov keeping full guard, as Kohsaka tries to pass. Kohsaka postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Blagenov is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Kohsaka, into his guard. Kohsaka keeping full guard, as Blagenov tries to pass.
That's one minute gone in the round. Blagenov is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Kohsaka is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Kohsaka has escaped and now he's on top! Kohsaka slips nicely into half guard. Kohsaka decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. Blagenov tries for a takedown but Kohsaka circles away easily and Kohsaka counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kohsaka seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Kohsaka misses with a head shot. Blagenov uses the momentum to regain guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kohsaka wants to stand but Blagenov is controlling his posture from full guard. Kohsaka looking to sit in guard and control but Blagenov gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kohsaka wants to stand and escape but Blagenov is having none of it. Blagenov sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Kohsaka's guard. Kohsaka is trying to stand up here but Blagenov is controlling him well. Blagenov moves into full mount! Kohsaka won't be happy about that! Kohsaka sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kohsaka is trying to stand up here but Blagenov is controlling him well. Kohsaka looks gassed! Blagenov seems to be working for a kimura but Kohsaka defends the submission attempt. Kohsaka looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Blagenov really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Blagenov is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Kohsaka is just riding it out for now. Blagenov eventually gives up the hold. Kohsaka is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Blagenov pulls his head out easily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tsuyoshi Kohsaka dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Blagenov shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Blagenov was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Blagenov quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Blagenov but it's paid off an Kohsaka is forced to tap! Nice work by Blagenov.
