Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Carlos Matador (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Diego Barou (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Diego Barou is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Carlos Matador! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Diego Barou! The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Leandro Rodrigues and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Matador shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Matador was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Barou can't escape the position.
Matador avoids the attempt from Barou to control. Matador trying to control but Barou is having none of it. Barou tries to reverse the position but Matador maintains control. Matador looking to control and managing it successfully. Matador stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing. Sloppy strikes from Matador. Those never looked like landing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Barou lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
It looks like Carlos Matador has been cut. Barou throws a series of punches but Matador moves out of range. Matador moves in looking to clinch but Barou pushes him off. Matador misses with a lunging right hand
and Barou counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Nice sprawl there from Barou as Matador shoots in. Barou shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Barou decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Barou closes the distance and pushes Matador back into the cage. Barou drags the fight down to the ground.
Matador is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Barou has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Matador is looking to defend but Barou has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Matador! Barou pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Matador taps out and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:03 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Diego Barou!
