Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Otto von Goldstein (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dean Stevens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). von Goldstein comes to the cage accompanied by Heut ist mein tag. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Otto von Goldstein! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Dean Stevens! The judges for this bout are James Glass, Donald Grub and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! von Goldstein just misses with a punch to the body.
Stevens waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract von Goldstein. Stevens throws a low kick but von Goldstein moves out of range easily. von Goldstein manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Stevens on his heels. He'll look to pass Stevens's guard now, I'm sure. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Stevens trying to keep a closed guard but von Goldstein is proving a slippery customer.

Stevens is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! von Goldstein seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Stevens has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Stevens throws an elbow but von Goldstein slips to the side and avoids it well. von Goldstein tries to improve position but can't. Stevens blocks the strikes from von Goldstein.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Stevens is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt von Goldstein will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Stevens in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Stevens is trying to get an arm triangle but von Goldstein is defending well. von Goldstein seems a little lost for a moment, as Stevens dominates the positioning. Stevens throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and von Goldstein works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Still in half guard, Stevens seems content to control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stevens is trying to control. von Goldstein wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Stevens not landing any meaningful shots this time. von Goldstein is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Stevens pulls his head out easily. Stevens seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but von Goldstein does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. von Goldstein keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Stevens wants to control from the top but von Goldstein keeps moving. Stevens loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. von Goldstein keeping moving, preventing Stevens from controlling successfully. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. von Goldstein throwing rabbit punches from the bottom - showing the judges that he's keeping busy. Stevens fakes the leg kick and cracks von Goldstein in the body. Stevens misses with a low kick. Stevens moves into range and clinches up with von Goldstein. Stevens being controlled against the cage. Stevens breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Stevens throws a leg kick but von Goldstein moved away. von Goldstein bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. von Goldstein looking to control but instead Stevens has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard. Stevens keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. von Goldstein tries to pass to full mount but Stevens defends it. Stevens tries to get to full guard but von Goldstein has control of the leg. von Goldstein trying to control from Stevens's half guard. Stevens has other ideas though and has regained full guard. von Goldstein has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. von Goldstein slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. von Goldstein trying to control but Stevens is working from the bottom.

He's now in the guard on the top. von Goldstein manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Stevens manages to get himself to full guard.

Stevens utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. von Goldstein loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Stevens avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. von Goldstein wants to control from the top but Stevens keeps moving. von Goldstein is looking to work some ground and pound but Stevens has wrist control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Stevens wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. von Goldstein lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Stevens shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. von Goldstein throws a hook to the side of Stevens's head but Stevens sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Stevens pivots, looking for a leg kick but von Goldstein is out of range and Stevens settles back down. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Stevens.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Otto von Goldstein dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Stevens. von Goldstein shrugs it off though. A shot to the liver by von Goldstein. Beautiful body shot. von Goldstein throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Stevens sees it coming and avoids it easily. Stevens slips a jab from von Goldstein. von Goldstein blocks a leg kick. Stevens misses with a hook. von Goldstein ducked under it nicely. A jab from von Goldstein misses. Stevens scores with a leg kick.
Stevens throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Stevens walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. von Goldstein checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Stevens fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but von Goldstein is out of range. Stevens moves in looking to clinch but von Goldstein pushes him off.

Stevens is looking to chop away at von Goldstein's legs. Stevens throws a chopping leg kick but von Goldstein manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Stevens motions for von Goldstein to come forward. Stevens throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Stevens misses with a low kick. von Goldstein dips down and scores with a jab to the body. von Goldstein checks a leg kick. Stevens slips a jab from von Goldstein. von Goldstein jabbing away but nothing is landing. Stevens throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Stevens takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Stevens tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but von Goldstein paws at him with a jab and circles away. Nice sprawl there from Stevens as von Goldstein shoots in. von Goldstein pushing out the jab but it's not landing. von Goldstein misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. von Goldstein cracks a nice hook into Stevens's ribs. Dean Stevens seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. von Goldstein shoots in looking for a takedown but Stevens manages to keep the fight standing, pushing von Goldstein's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Otto von Goldstein. That's going to take a lot out of him. Stevens throws a leg kick letting von Goldstein counter with a right hand. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Stevens is looking to slow von Goldstein down with leg kicks.

Stevens tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and von Goldstein avoids it. Stevens lands a nice knee to the body. Stevens tries a knee to the head but von Goldstein blocks it.

Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. von Goldstein escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Stevens gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. von Goldstein keeping moving, preventing Stevens from controlling successfully. Stevens throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Stevens trying to control the position from guard on top but von Goldstein is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. von Goldstein lands with a heel strike from the guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Dean Stevens comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Stevens has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
