Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Hattori Hanzo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Han Denderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Han Denderson will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Denderson pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Hanzo back to the cage. Denderson follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Hanzo closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Denderson did well to prevent Hanzo getting side control.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Hanzo is looking for a kimura here.
Denderson is trying to maintain the position but Hanzo is very close to passing his half guard.
