Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bubba Frank (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Serial Carpins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bubba Frank!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Serial Carpins!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Jorge Garcia and Chad Campbell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Frank sizes up Carpins with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Frank slaps away a takedown attempt from Carpins, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Carpins moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Carpins looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Carpins looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Frank manages to get to full guard.
Frank keeping moving, preventing Carpins from controlling successfully.
Frank is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Carpins tries to free his leg and advance position but Frank is retaining full guard.
Carpins looking to sit in guard and control but Frank gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Carpins is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Frank throwing strikes from guard but Carpins blocks nicely.

Frank stands and steps away. Carpins gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
No joy there for Frank, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Carpins takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Horrible takedown by Carpins or perhaps it was just good defense by Frank which made him look bad.
Bubba Frank has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Serial Carpins.

Frank defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Carpins.

Frank lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Carpins circles away quickly and effectively.
Carpins on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Frank throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Carpins tries to clinch up but Frank circles away and keeps his distance.
Carpins shoots in for a takedown but Frank shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Frank lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Carpins circles away quickly and effectively.
Frank lands a nice shot that snaps Carpins's head back.
Frank lands a glancing blow to the side of Carpins's head.
Carpins misses with a takedown attempt - Frank sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Carpins takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Carpins shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Carpins shoots in for a takedown but Frank shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Carpins drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

Bubba Frank seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Carpins misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Frank fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Carpins looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Frank lands with a nice combination. Carpins backs away looking to recover.

Frank throws a series of strikes that have Carpins backpedaling.
Carpins is looking to clinch but Frank is avoiding it.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Carpins drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Frank manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Carpins has Frank in his guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Frank goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Frank shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Carpins eats them both and turns towards Frank to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Frank tests Carpins's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Carpins throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Frank.
Carpins tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Frank misses with a two punch combination.
Carpins is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Frank rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Carpins moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Carpins looking to score a takedown here. Frank is defending well but Carpins drives through and ends up in Frank's guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Carpins stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Frank swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Frank not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Carpins trying to move into half guard but instead Frank has managed to sweep!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Frank controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Carpins wants to get back to his feet but Frank is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Carpins wants to control the position but Frank says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
Frank prevents Carpins from standing back up.
Frank is thwarting Carpins's attempts to control the position.

Frank is working the combinations to good effect here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Frank lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Frank.
Serial Carpins has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Bubba Frank is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Frank, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
