Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Charles Houston!
The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Sergei Dronov and Valeri Chadov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Houston throws a series of punches but McMillan moves out of range.
McMillan closes the distance and clinches up with Houston, looking for a takedown. McMillan pushes Houston against the cage but Houston circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
McMillan fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Houston avoids it really well and circles away.
McMillan is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Houston.
McMillan shoots for a takedown but Houston saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for George McMillan. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A nice combination there by Houston.
McMillan shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Houston sprawls well. Houston wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. McMillan gets slowly back to his feet.

Houston moves into the clinch.
Houston scores with a hook to the body.
Houston is trying to push McMillan away but McMillan has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Houston stalling the fight.
McMillan tries to stall but Houston uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
McMillan prevents a body shot from Houston.
Houston gets underhooks to prevent McMillan's takedown attempt.

McMillan changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Houston fights it off and pushes away nicely.
George McMillan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nice sprawl there from Houston as McMillan shoots in.
Houston displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from McMillan.
Houston throws a body punch but McMillan moves out of range.

McMillan needs to keep his hands up - Houston had a free shot at his head there.
McMillan looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Houston tries to bum rush McMillan with a series of wild strikes but McMillan uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Charles Houston is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
McMillan checks a leg kick.
Houston rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but McMillan moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
McMillan takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Houston looks to land a combination but McMillan avoids it well.
Horrible takedown by McMillan or perhaps it was just good defense by Houston which made him look bad.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from McMillan.
McMillan is breathing heavily.
This has been an exciting period of action!
McMillan looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

McMillan gets tackled into the cage by Houston. Houston maintains the clinch.
McMillan tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Houston is trying to force a seperation but McMillan has the dominant position.

Houston breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
No luck with that takedown attempt from McMillan.
Houston swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and McMillan counters with a nice double leg into guard.
McMillan preventing the sweep.
Houston has McMillan pulled in close to control his posture.

McMillan gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
McMillan shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Houston as he jumps to the side.
Houston looks to land a combination. McMillan sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Houston misses with a wild combination.
Houston throws a right and a left that both miss.
Houston throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and McMillan counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Houston!

Houston is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. McMillan locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Houston is forced to tap!
