These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Adriano Da Costa! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Hideyoshi Okami! The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Colin Fotheringham and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Da Costa wants to clinch. Da Costa swinging wildly here.
Da Costa looks to land a combination but Okami avoids it well. Da Costa throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Da Costa drops Okami with a beautiful combination! Okami stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Da Costa is looking for the KO!
Okami is rocked!
It looks like Hideyoshi Okami has been cut. Okami gets tackled into the cage by Da Costa. Da Costa maintains the clinch. Okami is still on wobbly legs! Can Da Costa finish him? Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. The referee is keeping an eye on Da Costa - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Da Costa prevents the takedown attempt.
Okami drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Da Costa gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Okami seems to have recovered his senses. Da Costa lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Da Costa manages to break the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Da Costa fails with an attempt to clinch.
Da Costa is trying hard to land a takedown here. Okami sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Da Costa lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Okami circles away quickly and effectively. Da Costa misses with a double jab.
Da Costa throws a series of punches but Okami moves out of range. Okami drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Da Costa is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Okami tries for a kimura but Da Costa is defending well. Okami working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Da Costa is looking to reverse the position. Okami has hold of Da Costa's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Da Costa tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Okami cranks the arm and Da Costa screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Da Costa, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Hideyoshi Okami! Hideyoshi Okami is the new middleweight champion! Hideyoshi Okami decided to call for a title shot in his post fight interview, which was very strange given the fact this fight was for a title and he's already the champion. I guess that's what getting punched in the head does for you.
