Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jayden Marion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Boot Head (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Head has chosen Requiem For A Dream as his entrance music. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jayden Marion!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Boot Head!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Dean Styles and Franklyn Lucas.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Head throws a jab but it's blocked by Marion.
Marion lands a nice leg kick that just misses Head's sensitive parts.
Marion lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Marion is looking to score with low kicks.
Marion moves away from the strike by Head.
Head throws a nice inside leg kick.
Head moves into range and connects with a jab.
Head tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Marion was well out of range. Poor timing from Head.
Head blocks a jab.
Head scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Marion throws a shot from downtown. Head moves away and avoids it.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Head looks to throw the jab but Marion is out of range.

Marion shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Head trying to control but Marion postures up.

Marion is looking to take a break and control but Head is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Head wants to improve his position but Marion is controlling well.

Marion is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Marion trying to mount his opponent but Head defends it.
Marion wants to control but Head is keeping him busy.

Marion is trying to work for a kimura but Head is defending well.

Marion is working for a submission of some sort.
Head is trying to stand up here but Marion is controlling him well.

Head wants to get back to full guard.
Head avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Marion.
Marion is trying to control the action in half guard but Head is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Head desperately trying to maintain half guard.
Marion looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Head misses with a two punch combination.
Marion tried to score with a low kick but Head checks it.
Marion throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Head's waist but Head gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Marion off to one side.
Head moves to clinch but Marion breaks away
and Marion counters with a one-two to the body.
Head misses the jab.
Head throws a lazy right hand but Marion sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Head has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

Head closes the distance and pushes Marion back into the cage.

Marion manages to break the clinch.
Boot Head is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Head cracks Marion with a good jab.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Head looks for the body kick but Marion saw that one coming.
Marion lands with a kick to the temple. Head shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Marion lands with a good body shot.
Marion looks for a takedown but Head sprawls well.
Marion scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Head doesn't seem bothered though.
Head ducks under a wild hook from Marion.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Head throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Marion's jab looks to have found its range, popping Head under the eye.
Head misses with a left hand
and Marion counters with a nice low kick that buckles Head's knee momentarily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Jayden Marion will probably get the nod.
That's time! Marion's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Head on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Marion. Marion obviously looking to wear him down.
Head swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Head ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Marion moves away.
Head jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Marion shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Head as he jumps to the side.
Marion fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Marion avoids the body shot from Head.
Head jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Head blocks a leg kick.
Marion tries a head kick but it misses.
Head lands a jab to the nose.
A chopping leg kick lands by Marion.

Head gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Marion throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Head works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Marion pushes down on Head's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Head tries to kick Marion off but Marion keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Marion cracks Head with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Head is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Marion is landing with some decent strikes but Head is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Marion swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Head is now in Marion's guard. A big mistake from Marion there, giving up the dominant position!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Head throws a big elbow that misses.

Marion pushes Head off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Head swings for the body but Marion moves out of range.
A looping hook to the body misses from Head. Marion does a little dance to reset his feet.
Head throws out a loose jab but Marion uses good head movement to avoid it.
Marion buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Marion misses with a low kick.

Marion gets a double leg takedown into Head's guard.
Marion in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Marion loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

This has been an exciting period of action!
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Boot Head has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Marion throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Head stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Marion moves out of range of the strikes.
Head throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Head takes one to the chin there.
Marion connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Marion tries to work over Head's front leg with a kick but Head checks it.
Head moves out of range of the body kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jayden Marion dominated that second round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Head goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Head just misses with a punch to the body.

Marion closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Marion lands in his opponent's guard.
Jayden Marion overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Marion seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Marion uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Head has time to react.

Marion closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Head's guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Marion looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Marion seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Head for as long as he can get away with.
Boot Head has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Marion got a little sloppy there for a moment and Head has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Marion has managed to get both his arms back between Head's legs - danger averted.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Marion, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
