Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Zap Rowsdower (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kanga Roo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Roo has chosen Land Down Under as his entrance music. Kanga Roo will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Zap Rowsdower! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kanga Roo! The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, John Mangel and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rowsdower misses with a takedown attempt - Roo sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Roo rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Rowsdower moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Roo keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Roo drops Rowsdower with a left right combo! Roo follows him down to the ground into side control.
Rowsdower is rocked! Rowsdower tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Roo wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Oh Rowsdower is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Roo wants to stand but Rowsdower is controlling his arm. Rowsdower is looking to regain half guard here but Roo keeps moving and retains side control. Roo stands up and beckons Rowsdower to his feet. Roo misses with the combination.
Rowsdower seems to have got his legs back now. Rowsdower shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Roo but Roo pushes him off and we're back to square one. Roo misses with a few strikes there.
Rowsdower fails with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Zap Rowsdower. That's going to take a lot out of him. No joy there for Roo, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Roo stuns Rowsdower with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Rowsdower is breathing heavily. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Rowsdower changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Roo tries to avoid it but Rowsdower manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Roo to the ground. Roo escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rowsdower closes this distance looking for a takedown but Roo circles away. Roo listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Rowsdower takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Rowsdower. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery. Roo lands a nice looking body shot.

Horrible takedown by Rowsdower or perhaps it was just good defense by Roo which made him look bad. Rowsdower has a takedown stuffed. Rowsdower tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Rowsdower drives through with a takedown into guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Rowsdower showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Rowsdower with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Rowsdower trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Rowsdower throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rowsdower is looking to work some ground and pound but Roo has wrist control. Rowsdower landing with the ground and pound. Rowsdower forces his way into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rowsdower looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Roo with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Roo wants to get back to his feet.
Roo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rowsdower. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Rowsdower is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Rowsdower landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Rowsdower trying to mount his opponent but Roo defends it. Rowsdower has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Rowsdower is trying to control the action in half guard but Roo is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Roo is trying to stand up here but Rowsdower is controlling him well. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Roo misses with a series of wild punches.
Rowsdower gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Roo. Kanga Roo is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Rowsdower looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Rowsdower closes this distance looking for a takedown but Roo circles away. A left lands for Roo. Roo stuffs the takedown. Rowsdower shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Rowsdower showed some decent athleticism there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rowsdower landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Rowsdower seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Rowsdower working over Roo with some ground and pound. Roo looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Rowsdower passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Roo! Rowsdower postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Roo looks a forlorn figure.
Rowsdower cracks Roo with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Roo's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Roo is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. Rowsdower tries to control but Roo wriggling away. Roo tries to buck Rowsdower off but he can't manage it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rowsdower pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Roo is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Rowsdower scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Roo is trying to stand up. Roo takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Rowsdower won't let Roo get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now. Rowsdower lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Roo hang on? Roo is trying to get back to his feet but can't. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Zap Rowsdower will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action!
Rowsdower takes one on the button. Roo throws a right and a left that both miss. Zap Rowsdower seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Roo ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Roo lands a body shot.
Roo connects with a stiff jab that staggers Rowsdower - oh and he follows up with a huge uppercut that knocks him out cold! Man, that was brutal!
