Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Axel Stevens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kamikaze Sazuki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kamikaze Sazuki will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Kenichi Hosakawa and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sazuki scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Stevens takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Stevens fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Sazuki is out of range.

Stevens has Sazuki up against the cage in a clinch.
Sazuki is looking to break free of the clinch but Stevens has double underhooks.
Stevens is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Sazuki is defending well.
Stevens has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Sazuki uses from the top position.
Stevens bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Sazuki's guard.
Stevens tries to free his leg and advance position but Sazuki is retaining full guard.

Stevens sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Sazuki's guard.

Stevens has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Stevens working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Sazuki turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Stevens off and cradles Sazuki's limp body as Stevens celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Axel Stevens!
