Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jesus Christ (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Manny Pacquiao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Christ comes to the cage accompanied by All that Heavenly Glory. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Manny Pacquiao!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Christ shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Pacquiao manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Christ throwing strikes but missing.
Pacquiao trying to control the position.
Christ throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Pacquiao works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Christ pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Pacquiao is keeping the position for now.

Pacquiao bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Christ's guard.

Christ is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Pacquiao defends well.

Pacquiao wants to stand but Christ has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Christ has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Pacquiao can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Christ has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Pacquiao stands and steps away. Christ gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Christ with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Pacquiao to score with a decent uppercut.

Christ is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Pacquiao is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Pacquiao has escaped and now he's on top!

Christ is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Pacquiao is aware though and is defending well.

Pacquiao decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

Christ will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

and Christ takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Pacquiao defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Christ.
Christ throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Pacquiao's waist but Pacquiao gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Christ off to one side.
Christ is breathing heavily.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Christ takes one to the side of the head.
Christ steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Pacquiao.
Pacquiao connects with a single shot there.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Christ fails to land the takedown.
Pacquiao lands a nice looking body shot.
Pacquiao lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Manny Pacquiao will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Christ has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Pacquiao finds it's way round the side to connect with Christ's head.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Christ closes the distance and clinches up with Pacquiao, looking for a takedown. Christ pushes Pacquiao against the cage but Pacquiao circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Christ shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Christ was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Poor strikes thrown by Christ there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Christ escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Pacquiao gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Christ is working for an americana but Pacquiao has been sneaky and has managed to get back to half guard, whilst Christ was thinking about the submission.
