McCready throws a head kick but Davis moves out of range.
Davis lands a slapping body shot.
Davis ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
McCready throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Davis lands a jab to the head.
Davis connects with a single shot there.
McCready is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
A decent looking cross lands there for Davis.
McCready clinches with his opponent.
McCready wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Davis has him pressed against the cage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
McCready doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Davis blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Davis wants a takedown.
Davis escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
That's one minute gone in the round.
McCready swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Davis keeps the fight on the outside.
McCready tries to clinch but Davis moves out of range.
Davis scores with a jab. McCready acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
The fight stays on the outside here - McCready looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Davis cracks McCready with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Davis lands a slapping body shot.
A left lands for Davis.
McCready is rocked!
Davis thuds a left hand into McCready's body.
McCready is still on wobbly legs! Can Davis finish him?
McCready looks gassed!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Davis is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches McCready flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! McCready is out cold! Davis holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Tony Davis!
