Jackson has hold of one of Steel's legs. Steel is fighting the takedown attempt but Jackson gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Steel pulls Jackson in close to his closed guard and prevents Jackson from doing any damage or advancing position. Steel keeping busy, throwing shots from the bottom. Steel is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Jackson has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Steel looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Jackson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Steel swivels though and keeps the full guard.

He's simply no match for Steel on the ground. Jackson tries to free his leg and advance position but Steel is retaining full guard. Steel will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Steel feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Steel not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Jackson is breathing heavily. Steel postures up in Jackson's guard and throws a big left but Jackson blocks it.

Steel has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Jackson defend it? Steel steps over the head and cranks it - Jackson is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Steel!
