The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Chris Downing and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sakrovski looks to land a right hand but Shakir moved out of range.
Shakir clinches with his opponent.
Sakrovski goes for a takedown attempt but Shakir pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Sakrovski checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Sakrovski throws a head kick that misses.
Sakrovski is trying hard to land a takedown here. Shakir sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Shakir moves into the clinch.
Sakrovski takes a knee to the side of the body.
Shakir unloads a knee to the mid-section. Sakrovski lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Sakrovski looks gassed!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Sakrovski takes an elbow to the forehead.
Shakir creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Sakrovski's defenses.
Shakir lands an elbow that stopped Sakrovski in his tracks for a moment.
Shakir lands a damaging elbow.
That has opened up Matt Sakrovski's cut even more.
A knee to the head by Shakir.
The cut above Matt Sakrovski's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Shakir using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Matt Sakrovski's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

After the fight, Mustapha Shakir was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
