Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jeff Kreig (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Silver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kreig kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Sodom - Ausgebombt. Jeff Kreig has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Silver gets a double leg takedown into Kreig's guard. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Kreig working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Silver doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Silver manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Silver accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Silver avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Silver working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Kreig working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Silver has passed into half guard!

That's one minute gone in the round. Kreig looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Silver tries to pass the half guard into mount. Kreig knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. That's two minutes gone in the round. Kreig gets back to half guard. Silver is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Kreig looking for a kimura from the bottom but Silver passes into side control! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kreig is breathing heavily. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Kreig is not content to let Silver control the position. Silver controls the position from side control. Silver trying to control the action but Kreig is working from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kreig is trying to improve his position. Kreig manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Silver really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kreig. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Silver lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Silver in particular looking to stall. Let's hope that Silver has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Kreig actively working from the bottom here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Silver trying to control from half guard but Kreig is working away. Kreig trying to control but Silver postures up.
Silver keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. It looks like Silver might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Kreig looking for submissions from an awkward position here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Johnny Silver dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Kreig gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Silver stands up over Kreig, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Silver tries to free his leg and advance position but Kreig is retaining full guard. Kreig looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Silver trying to control but Kreig is working from the bottom. Silver lands a couple of digs. Kreig will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kreig is looking to stand back up but Silver counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Kreig. Silver is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Kreig trying to hold on to Silver's head to control him but Silver postures up.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Silver working Kreig over with strikes. Kreig won't allow Silver to pass to mount. Silver working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Silver is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Silver is trying to control. Kreig wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Silver in particular looking to stall.

He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Kreig is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The referee warns Kreig that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Kreig tries to hold on but Silver pushes him away. Kreig is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Silver is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Silver tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Silver connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

Johnny Silver showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Kreig is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Silver pulls his head out easily. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Kreig is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Silver scores with a couple of nice shots.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kreig is looking to get back to full guard here but Silver has managed to pass to side control instead. Kreig is looking for a sweep. Kreig is trying to control Silver's posture but Silver avoids it. Silver scores with punches from side control. Kreig takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Silver staying calm. Silver lands an elbow.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Silver working the head with strikes. Silver creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Check out the look on Silver's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Silver controlling the position. Silver trying to control the action but Kreig is working from the bottom.

I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Kreig manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Silver is concentrating on defense, preventing Kreig from advancing position. Johnny Silver has got the better of the ground game so far. Silver is pressing down on Kreig's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Silver has Kreig pulled in close to control his posture. Kreig wants to control from the top but Silver keeps moving. Kreig trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Silver tries to land a sweep but no joy. Silver has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Jeff Kreig just wasn't active enough. Kreig gets caught flat footed, as Silver shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Johnny Silver comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Silver has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
