The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Winston Howard and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gabonica is looking to chop away at Hart's legs.
Gabonica shoots in looking for a takedown but Hart manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Gabonica's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Gabonica misses with a head kick.
Hart sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Gabonica lands a high kick!
It looks like Bernie Hart has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Gabonica shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Hart is trying to defend but Gabonica finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Hart makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Hart.

Gabonica might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
