Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mauricio Matar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Junior Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silva is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Love t he way you lie. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mauricio Matar! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Junior Silva! The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Aafke Stam and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Matar tries to score a power double leg takedown but Silva sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Matar somewhat. Silva tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Matar manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Matar drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Matar decides to take the fight back to the feet. Matar keeps the fight on the outside. Matar tries for a takedown but Silva sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Silva tries to clinch but fails miserably and Matar counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Matar controlling the action here. Matar thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
That's one minute gone in the round. Matar wants to work for an arm triangle but Silva is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Silva is trying to stand.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Matar sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Silva defending well though. Silva tries to roll over but Matar keeps him under control. Silva trying to hold on to Matar's head to control him but Matar postures up.
Matar with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Silva really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Matar. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's three minutes gone in the round. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Matar is trying to work for a kimura but Silva is defending well.
Matar perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Silva keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mauricio Matar. That's going to take a lot out of him. Silva is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Silva wants to clinch up but Matar keeps it at a distance. Silva tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Matar holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Matar has Silva pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Matar pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Silva tumbling to the mat - Matar dives into Silva's guard. Matar makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Matar trying to control but Silva is working from the bottom. Matar pushes down on Silva's leg and manages to get into half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Silva closes the distance and lands a one-two. Silva tries to clinch and Matar holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Matar manages to break the clinch.

Matar gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Silva is looking to break free of the clinch but Matar has double underhooks. Silva is trying to maintain a safe position but Matar gets an underhook and turns Silva into the cage. Matar breaks from the clinch.
Matar lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Matar moves into the clinch. Silva wants to break free but Matar has control.
Silva is trying to force a seperation but Matar has the dominant position. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Silva tries to break the clinch but Matar is controlling the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silva is trying to break free. Matar is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Silva gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Come on Matar - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Silva's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Matar closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Matar lands in his opponent's guard. Matar tries to free his leg and advance position but Silva is retaining full guard. Silva is trying to keep Matar in close.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Silva throws a sloppy head kick and Matar moves out of range easily. Silva gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Matar stays in close to Silva's body and controls the position. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Matar is pushing down on Silva's leg trying to pass to half guard. Silva is fighting to maintain full guard but Matar has managed to sneak the leg through.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Matar lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Matar sitting and controlling from the half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Mauricio Matar has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Matar closes the distance and pushes Silva back into the cage. Silva is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Silva wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Silva goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Silva tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Matar smiles and moves away.
Matar drives through and clinches with Silva against the cage.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Matar managing to block the knees to the body from Silva.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mauricio Matar dominated that second round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Matar shoots for a double leg takedown but Silva sprawls well. He's pushed Matar's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Matar fails to land the takedown. Silva slips under a jab from Matar. Silva is looking to clinch. Matar shoots in but Silva avoids the takedown attempt easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mauricio Matar. That's going to take a lot out of him. Silva tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Matar manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Silva pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Matar back to the cage. Silva follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Matar shoots in but no luck this time. Silva is looking to clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silva scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Silva tries to clinch but Matar is having none of it. Silva tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Matar showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Silva.
Silva throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Silva thuds his right hand into Matar's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Silva lands a jab. Matar avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Sloppy strikes from Silva. Those never looked like landing. Matar tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Silva works the jab nicely. Matar shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Silva but Silva pushes him off and we're back to square one. Silva tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Matar paws at him with a jab and circles away. Silva lands with a nice combination. Matar backs away looking to recover. Matar blocks a head kick by Silva.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Silva changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Matar tries to avoid it but Silva manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Matar to the ground. Matar escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Silva moves in looking to clinch but Matar pushes him off. Silva tries to clinch but Matar is having none of it. Silva scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Silva tries to close the distance and clinch but Matar swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Matar takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Silva closes the distance and lands a one-two. Silva scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Silva tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Matar swats away the attempt to clinch by Silva. Left hook, right uppercut from Silva.
That's four minutes gone in the round. No joy there for Silva, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Matar looks for a takedown but Silva sprawls well. Silva tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Silva tries to clinch but Matar moves out of range. Matar shoots in for a takedown but Silva shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Matar slips a jab and a cross from Silva.

Junior Silva has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! A jab from Silva finds it's way through Matar's defenses. Mauricio Matar is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Matar dives in and grabs Silva's left leg, looking for a takedown. Silva pushes down on Matar's head and hops out.
And that's the end of the fight! Junior Silva comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Matar has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
