Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mauricio Matar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Junior Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silva is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Love t he way you lie. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Aafke Stam and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Matar tries to score a power double leg takedown but Silva sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Matar somewhat.
Silva tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Matar manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Matar drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Matar decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Matar keeps the fight on the outside.
Matar tries for a takedown but Silva sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

and Matar counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Silva goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Silva changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Matar tries to avoid it but Silva manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Matar to the ground. Matar escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
