Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ted Knight (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pierre LePew (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). LePew has chosen Dirty House as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
15 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ted Knight! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
26 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Pierre LePew! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Ian Loll and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Knight scores with a punch to the head. No luck for LePew with that takedown attempt. Knight gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. LePew trying to control the position from guard on top but Knight is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Knight keeping full guard, as LePew tries to pass. LePew throwing strikes from guard but Knight blocks nicely. LePew wants to control from the top but Knight keeps moving.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Pierre LePew hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. A jab from LePew misses. Nice defenses there by LePew. Knight defends well against a solid takedown attempt from LePew. Knight throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Knight misses with a leg kick and LePew counters with a series of strikes. Knight will be more careful next time no doubt. Knight shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. A jab from Knight misses. LePew fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Knight on the side of the head. Knight slips under a jab. LePew misses with a two punch combination.
Knight is looking to clinch but LePew is avoiding it.

LePew lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. LePew struggles to land a body shot inside as Knight controls his hands.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Knight is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. LePew has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Knight tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and LePew avoids it. LePew lands a right hand. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for LePew. With the two fighters working up against the cage, Knight just misses with a elbow thrown towards LePew's brow. LePew tries a body shot but Knight blocks it.

The fight moves into the clinch position. LePew blocks an elbow strike from Knight.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. LePew is trying to break free. LePew can't find room to land a body shot as Knight controls the action.
Knight crunches a lovely knee into LePew's ribcage. LePew tries to circle away but Knight has him pinned against the cage. LePew breaks from the clinch.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Knight throws a hook but LePew blocks it. Knight stuns LePew with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. LePew swings for the body but Knight moves out of range.
Knight looks to land a right hand but LePew moved out of range. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ted Knight dominated that round. The cut man is working on Pierre LePew's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

LePew ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. LePew checks a low kick from Knight. Knight shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. The fight stays on the outside here - Knight looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Knight will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Knight tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. LePew swats away the attempt to clinch by Knight. Knight clinches with his opponent.
LePew's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Knight misses with a body kick. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Knight pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Knight walks into a jab. LePew looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Knight slaps away a takedown attempt from LePew, before circling back to the center of the mat. LePew looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. LePew is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Knight misses with a low kick as LePew jumps back. Knight takes a swing at LePew's ribcage but misses. Knight keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Knight gets caught flat footed, as LePew shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. LePew distracts Knight with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as LePew accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Knight avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. LePew trying to control but Knight is working from the bottom. Knight avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Knight is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's four minutes gone in the round. LePew looking to sit in guard and control but Knight gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. LePew has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. LePew looking for a sweep. Not yet LePew, not yet. LePew has his foot on Knight's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Knight works his way back into a safe position though. LePew tries to land a sweep but no joy. Knight has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. LePew keeping moving, preventing Knight from controlling successfully. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! LePew wants to sweep here but Knight controlling him for the moment. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

A slow jab from LePew misses its intended target. Knight missing with a left hand there. LePew was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. LePew fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Knight manages to avoid it. Knight tries to close the distance and clinch up but LePew swats him away and circles back towards the center. A telegraphed right hand from LePew misses the target. A head kick misses from Knight. Knight lands with a nice body kick. LePew fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. LePew fails to land the takedown.
That's one minute gone in the round. Knight throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. LePew misses with a takedown attempt - Knight sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Ted Knight has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pierre LePew. LePew keeps the fight on the outside. LePew tries for a takedown but Knight sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Knight fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Ted Knight is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Knight buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Knight lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but LePew circles away quickly and effectively. LePew walks into a left hand. A looping hook to the body misses from LePew. Knight does a little dance to reset his feet. LePew fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Knight throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by LePew. LePew manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Knight on his heels. He'll look to pass Knight's guard now, I'm sure. LePew takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. LePew trying to control but Knight is working from the bottom. Knight is trying to control the position from the bottom.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. LePew throws an overhand right that lands on Knight's shoulder, as Knight tries to avoid the shot. LePew on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Knight ducks under a wild hook from LePew. A head kick from Knight lands but LePew takes it in his stride. LePew misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Knight moves out of range as LePew strikes. Knight fails in his attempt to clinch. Knight uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from LePew. LePew misses with a body shot.
Knight looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Pierre LePew has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! LePew lands an overhand right. LePew blocks the body kick.

LePew tries to score a power double leg takedown but Knight sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten LePew somewhat. Knight gets in close and instigates a clinch. Knight prevents a body shot from LePew. Knight tries to land a knee to the head but LePew blocks with his arms.
