Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Pietari Manninen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Van der lie silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Pietari Manninen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Van der lie silva!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Manninen throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Manninen instigates a clinch.
Manninen throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but silva blocks it with crossed arms.
Manninen tries to score a body lock takedown but silva shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
silva tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Manninen just stands there and leans against the cage.
silva has picked Manninen up - he's going for a ride! silva dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Manninen gets back to full guard.

silva passes into half guard.
Manninen wants to improve his position but silva is controlling well.
Manninen tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Manninen regains full guard. Nicely done.
silva would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Manninen tries to land a sweep but no joy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Manninen trying to keep a closed guard but silva is proving a slippery customer.
Manninen looking to hit a scissor sweep but silva is one step ahead there.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Manninen fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Manninen pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Manninen lets loose with a powerful body kick. silva will feel that in the morning.
Manninen lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
It looks like Van der lie silva has been cut.
Manninen tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Horrible takedown by Manninen or perhaps it was just good defense by silva which made him look bad.
Manninen is breathing heavily.
Manninen tries to clinch up.
silva tries to clinch but fails miserably
and silva takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
silva tries to close the distance and clinch but Manninen swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Manninen shoots in looking for a takedown. silva tries to sprawl out of it but Manninen keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. silva manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Pietari Manninen. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Manninen tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and silva counters with a body kick that stops Manninen in his tracks momentarily.
silva drives through with a takedown into guard.
Manninen striking off his back but it's not causing silva any problems.
Manninen scrambles and gets back to his feet.
silva tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Manninen counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps silva thinking.
Manninen tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Manninen throws a lazy head kick
and silva moves into the clinch.
Manninen working some nice short punches in the clinch.
silva lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
silva misses with a knee strike.
silva escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Manninen looks to throw a body kick
and silva counters with a nice double leg into guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Manninen wants to sweep but no luck.
silva trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
silva trying to control the position from guard on top but Manninen is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Manninen looking to control.
silva lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Manninen is looking to sinch up a triangle. silva throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Manninen's body to avoid the submission. Manninen has instead reached around silva's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Manninen arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
