Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Timo Kotipelto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Patrick Jane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kotipelto comes into the arena with Peter Cetera & Amy Grant- Next Time I Fall blaring out of the sound system. Patrick Jane has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Timo Kotipelto's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Timo Kotipelto!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Patrick Jane!
The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Edson Gomes and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jane thumps Kotipelto with a low kick.
Kotipelto bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Jane swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Kotipelto throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Jane's waist but Jane gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kotipelto off to one side.
A good leg kick by Jane.
Jane ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Jane connects with an inside leg kick.
Kotipelto checks a leg kick.
A jab from Jane misses.
Jane scores with a leg kick.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Jane throws a head kick but Kotipelto moves out of range.

Jane lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

and Kotipelto counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Jane's guard now.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Kotipelto is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Jane wants to sweep here but Kotipelto controlling him for the moment.

Kotipelto trying to control but Jane is working from the bottom.
Kotipelto wants to pass the guard but Jane is keeping the position.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Timo Kotipelto just wasn't active enough.
Kotipelto moves out of range of the strikes.
Kotipelto fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Jane avoids it really well and circles away.

Jane tries to land a front kick but Kotipelto steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Kotipelto fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Jane throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Patrick Jane seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jane fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Kotipelto on the side of the head.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Kotipelto is defended easily by Jane.
Kotipelto fails with a takedown attempt.

Kotipelto shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Jane as he jumps to the side.
Jane dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Kotipelto. That did some damage!
Jane feints and then cracks Kotipelto's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Kotipelto down.
Jane tries to move into range but Kotipelto moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Jane.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Kotipelto shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Jane defends it nicely.
Kotipelto closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Patrick Jane dominated that round.

Jane throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Jane tries a low kick but Kotipelto avoids it.
Kotipelto shoots in and drives through. Jane sprawls well.
Kotipelto takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Jane scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Kotipelto is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
Kotipelto fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Kotipelto shoots in for a double leg but Jane sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Timo Kotipelto. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Jane wants to slow Kotipelto down by chopping away at his legs.
Jane throws a chopping leg kick but Kotipelto manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

Kotipelto misses with a takedown attempt - Jane sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Patrick Jane seems to be getting the better of the standup.

and Jane counters with a low kick, right behind Kotipelto 's knee.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Jane moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Jane lands a brutal head kick. Kotipelto looks out on his feet and Jane throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:53 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Kick and Punches). Patrick Jane!
