Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Paul Blue (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dave McDonald (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McDonald has chosen I Stand Alone as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Alec Ball and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blue gets a double leg takedown into McDonald's guard.
McDonald has his foot on Blue's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Blue works his way back into a safe position though.
Blue works over McDonald with some ground and pound from guard.
Blue chips away with some ground and pound.
Blue stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. McDonald swivels though and keeps the full guard.

McDonald escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Blue gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Blue looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks McDonald with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Blue connects with a nice short shot to McDonald's temple.

Blue lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Blue lands a nice forearm strike.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Blue looks up at the clock and then as McDonald takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Blue smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
McDonald is looking to regain half guard here but Blue keeps moving and retains side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Blue fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but McDonald avoids it really well and circles away.
Blue closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into McDonald's guard.
Blue distracts McDonald with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
McDonald has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Blue should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, McDonald has tightened it up now! Blue should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
