The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gene moves into range and clinches up with Davidson.
Gene lands with a short shot to the head.
Gene has had enough of the clinch but Davidson keeps him there for the moment.

Davidson takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Gene bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Davidson's head.

Gene clobbers Davidson with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Davidson closes the distance and clinches up with Gene, looking for a takedown. Davidson pushes Gene against the cage but Gene circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Gene cracks Davidson with a hook to the temple - Davidson is on wobbly legs here! Gene swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Davidson falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Gene wins by TKO!
