Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Paul Sakamoto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and George White (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). White is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Wees Niet Bang (Paz rmx). On his way into the cage it seems that Paul Sakamoto has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Paul Sakamoto seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Paul Sakamoto! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, George White! The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Seu Braga and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! White tries to clinch up but Sakamoto circles away and keeps his distance. White looking to score a takedown here. Sakamoto is defending well but White drives through and ends up in Sakamoto's guard. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Sakamoto wants to sweep but no luck. Sakamoto looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Sakamoto on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Sakamoto tries to get out of the position. Sakamoto wants to stand but White is controlling the position. Sakamoto is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. White drops back, looking for a kneebar! Sakamoto looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Sakamoto looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Sakamoto! The referee asks Sakamoto politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Sakamoto prefers to stall for the moment though. Sakamoto wants to control but White is keeping him busy. Sakamoto knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for White on the ground.
That's one minute gone in the round. White is trying to control Sakamoto's posture but Sakamoto avoids it. White is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Sakamoto is staying active. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. White shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Sakamoto as he avoids it easily. Paul Sakamoto is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. White fails to land the takedown. White shoots in looking for a takedown. Sakamoto tries to sprawl out of it but White keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Sakamoto manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Paul Sakamoto has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of George White. Sakamoto throws a series of punches but White avoids them all with ease. Sakamoto keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
That's two minutes gone in the round. White displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Sakamoto throws out the jab. White uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Sakamoto.
White closes the distance and clinches up with Sakamoto, looking for a takedown. White pushes Sakamoto against the cage but Sakamoto circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. White shoots in and drives through. Sakamoto sprawls well. White shoots in looking for a takedown. Sakamoto tries to sprawl out of it but White keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Sakamoto manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. White gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Oooh a lovely combination from Sakamoto sends White down but not out. Sakamoto dives into side control looking to finish.
White is rocked!
It looks like George White has been cut. Sakamoto lands a strong strike to the head of White. That's dazed him! Sakamoto looking to finish here. White is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Sakamoto lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Paul Sakamoto!
