Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Akaboshi Aida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ogmundur Girsurrson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Aida comes into the arena with The Passenger - Iggy Pop blaring out of the sound system. On his way into the cage it seems that Akaboshi Aida has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Akaboshi Aida seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Girsurrson leaves Aida with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Girsurrson thows a body kick. Aida tries to catch it but that hurt him.

Girsurrson smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

It looks like Akaboshi Aida has been cut.
Aida shoots in but no luck this time.
Akaboshi Aida seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Girsurrson throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
A jab lands there for Girsurrson.

Aida takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Girsurrson throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Aida stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Girsurrson lands a really nice looking cross but Aida seems unphased.

Aida closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Oh Aida is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Girsurrson bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.

Girsurrson is pressed up against the cage. Aida has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Girsurrson down to the mat. Girsurrson avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Akaboshi Aida. That's going to take a lot out of him.
and Girsurrson counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Aida! He's just covering up as Girsurrson starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!
